As a fellow Canadian, I will allow it. I am half italian so I don't have it in me to root for France. And England have suffered long enough. Let them have one. I'm mostly just rooting for the underdogs. Don't care either way.

I have no rooting interest in England vs. France. Will be happy with either of them moving on for different reasons.

I'm Portuguese and the referee had no influence in the result. I agree he could have given an extra minute because the expulsion wasted time but that really wouldn't influence the game since we're just kicking ball into the air.

That Piers Morgan interview was an extremely bad look and with this super mid WC performance he's done on top teams. No one wants a player that bad mouths teams and has become a diva. He's not at his prime anymore where he can get away with it, and any mid table and up team in the three big league will definitely not sign him after this World Cup.
His only redemption is signing with the San Jose Earthquakes. So I can sell my tickets.

I really enjoy the way Croatia plays. They have the best midfield at this WC the way they build up and pass there is amazing at times. The issue is they have no proper striker and often all that build up ends in nothing.
