Welcome to the Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread. Sit back, relax, consume salt.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs consist of 16 teams - the top 8 teams from each conference. Teams play a best-of-seven series to advance to the next round. The winners of the Eastern and Western Conferences compete for the Stanley Cup.

Thread will be updated as needed.

*Quick has an in person hearing regarding supplemental discipline in taking so damn long to get the playoff thread and may face a stiff penalty. Commissioner Creeper is reportedly dishing out heavier penalties due to an unpleasant change in kitty litter brands.

*Marvie has reportedly narrowed his potential playoff bandwagon teams down to 4 favorites. San Jose, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Philadelphia are the rumored destinations. Columbus and New Jersey are considered long shots to land him.

*Patrick Sharp is still a handsome man

Hmm, looks like I'm picking a lot of upsets but some of them are very narrow - one point separating the Sharks and Ducks is a good example. Blue Jackets have looked great the last couple of months so I'm picking them... also I'm just sick of the Pens so a Flyers upset would be cool.
