please dont tie in tv show content into it... i could not finish QB because of it.... i know it's supposedly not "mandatory" but to me it's not and probably provides some exposition and i don't want to sit through that.
You really don't need to TV shows at all. Not finishing QB because of that is a disservice to yourself.
To me it's the equivalent of skipping cut-scenes or mashing x on scrolled dialogue...sure i can figure things out on the go but it's clearly meant to be apart of the overarching experience.
Nooo, I wanted Quantum Break 2 ! :(
They can't finish QB on such a fantastic cliffhanger and not make QB2... :(
The main plot point that the TV show conveys is that Mr Hatch is not what he appears to be. It's kind of important, but no, it's not mandatory. Same as watching the Mr Scratch recordings in Alan Wake: American Nightmare wasn't really necessary to understand the story. It's not like skipping cutscenes though. It's literally structured to avoid that scenario.
The TV show tells a parallel story, not one that is central to the game.
I'm absolutely devastated by this. It actually knocked the wind out of me. Alan Wake is my favorite game. I can't believe they still refuse to give us a sequel. I know it sounds bad tempered but I'm honestly done with Remedy. If you're not going to bother with a sequel why litter Quantum Break with Alan Wake easter eggs, including a trailer that actually says Alan Wake 'RETURN'.
I can't believe this. Just like QB there's nothing thematically enticing about this. Alan Wake was something special, something wasted.

Yeah I can totally see this tying into the QB universe, so many questions! So much potential!

Game looks amazing! Can we expect more footage during the following days at e3?Loving the replies. Glad you all like it and looking forward to it.
Keep in mind that what you see is WIP (Work In Progress).

Quantum breaks biggest issue with some in the community from what I recall is that the game didn't make it clear you shouldn't be playing it like a cover based shooter. You should have been flying around using all of your powers. When you played it like that it was an incredibly fun game.

The quantum break powers feel was strong in this, I genuinely thought it was QB2 and it was a Beth story at first.
Day one for me, no hesitation.

Mr Hatch shouldn't exist. He is from beyond the End of Time. He's been working behind the scenes to ensure the End of Time happens. He's a shifter able to stabilise himself. His existence after you "fix" time means that you didn't actually fix time, and to make matters worse you're personally running out of time because you're already showing symptoms of the same sickness Paul had. (Including seeing the branching paths.) QB has great potential for a sequel, and I hope it comes to fruition under MS's new management. It's cool that perspective exists for the character, but The mystery of Mr Hatch isn't central to QBs story- it's all about Jack and Paul. The main narrative works just fine with Hatch simply being the CEO and face of Monarch.
