Times change, DMC4 is 10 years old. This doesn't look like DmC either, its more self aware. Mechanics will likely be fine, its in-house by Itsuno. Dante looks like shit but who knows once this game hits. They will hear our feedback.
I have no doubt the game's gonna be a blast to play fundamentally but I'm still skeptical.
I don't dig the new presentation all too much, I feel like they lean a little too hard on the nu-Resi "realistic" look. Plus in as much as I still love the combat system of these games, I still need Itsuno to prove to me that he can make a game with three playable characters and make it not feel like it's thinly spread. DMC4 already had issues with just two. By the time Special Edition came out it crumbled under it's own weight and didn't really do anything to fix it's biggest issues.
But I'm still pumped. Just cautiously so, which I'd assume is reasonable.

I've been waiting ten years for this, and am just glad it's finally happening.
I'd say so, anyway. Couldn't get it out of my head from the first time I saw the trailer, so certainly glad I like it.

I 100% wanted nero to be the focus again, so yeah looks like they are right in that regard that someone did

I think it's understandable because it's a pretty drastic change but I think people will be pleased in the end

On second viewing, it looks very impressive. And updated designs are always problematic, so I cannot even imagine how hard it is to attract your fans plus a new audience after so many years of absence. I'm sure many will grow fonder of both characters and the art style, in due time.
Also, talking on the moveset, that rocket arm shows in the trailer some cool variations that wouldn't be possible with Nero on DMC 4. It's just the tip of the iceberg. For now, I'm just glad it exists.

I wanted it lol. Nero is cool as fuck and is a very good starter character with a kind of depth that is different from Dante/Vergil
I haven't been following the leaks on this game too closely, but they were mostly false, right? I recall hearing that Dante was the main character, that it wouldn't be on XB1, and that it was using UE4, none of which are true.
Oh cool, he does have red under his coat. It was kinda hard to tell with all the stream compression.
I'm going to venture a guess that we see a Dante focused trailer at the Sony conference tomorrow
I will say this. I was horribly wrong about this game existing and while at present I still feel it is a monkey paw wish, I'm still happy the series is continuing. I will be buying day 1.
