ETH going to $450 wouldn't be that surprising. BTC set to retest 6k.

I've got 2600 XBY, 50 IOTA, 1700 FLASH, and some BTC and LTC. I've just been letting them sit but now I'm down $300. Guess that's what I get for not paying attention and hodling. Guess we're just riding the wave, at this point.

so for the continuation of nucleus vision:
their medium page(https://medium.com/@NucleusVision ) is suspended

refer to this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2461585.0
and

the link redirects to a suspended medium page https://medium.com/suspended

I was able to click on all of those links and access the information no problem. There's nothing on Reddit about a potential scam and you know at the slightest hint, you'll see something upvoted to the front page.

Binance isn't going to be the initial listing exchange for an obvious ICO scam coin. If it is, we have a lot more problems than Nucleus Vision.

People and parents are asking me with a smirk how my crypto is doing..like "i told you so". But all of them got thirsty in December /January and started reading up after i told them about crypto.
I'm still in the green and not worried. Let's see who smirks last.

Feel sorry for people who got in late /at ATH though.

I'm in this very dilemma. My portfolio is down to a 6th of what it was in December. I'm thinking of playing long and just holding knowing it can get that high again as I'm confident it my investments. This is my first 1/2 year in crypto, I'm going to apply the lessons I learned and just cash out next time it gets that high and starts to massively dip. I cashed out of my initial investment, so now it's just playtime.

Such a volitile market though. I only started mining on the 6th of February, practically yesterday, and in the last few days Ethereum has dropped 30%, and profitability even more since electricity eats up a slice of the mined currency.

In a way I hope it all goes to shit and I have to sell whatever few cards I currently own. I'm kind of putting off actually investing into cryptos because mining seemed okay....ish, a month ago. At the very least I know I won't go out of this venture poorer than I was before, so that's something.

Don't forget the G20 is meeting Monday/Tuesday and discussing cryptos, so expect some FUD from that.

Yo, guys, ten billion dollars got pushed through XRP to day. Let me ask: what the fuck is? And why? Is this good for ripple? That's, like... one seventh of the US fleet of B-2's. That's almost an aircraft carrier. That's a decibezos. What is going on here?

Reminds me of this:

Even though that was in the middle of an all-around bull run.

I've been out of crypto for the last week or so, what's going on with NEO? is this all because of that bug they found? I want to sell VEN before the masternode thingy so NEO is looking tempting, unless there's something else going on

Well, nothing to talk when you hold your bags. When it goes back to jumping from gain train to gain train, this place is probably going to get more lively i guess.

Bitrex soon?
Nope, Bitrex is removing 80 coins from their listing. Only noteworthy one is ADC though.

https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001609031

Wasn't ADC touted as a good coin, yet Bittrex is going to remove it?

EDIT: Don't want to be a doomsayer, but it is looking very bad to try to hold onto crypto at all since its mainly traders now on it and no new influx of cash as people already sold out and staying out. It seems to just be on a steady, but sure decline with no real chance of it rising back to where it was.

I want to see the poor fool who bruteforce hacks into my Cryptopia account to only find a grand total of 800 ADC

Or dip again and finally crash tether ;)

I'm still out of the market because of tether, despite cheap eth tempting me, I'm just not comfortable putting money into the market when tether could die and take down multiple exchanges and the BTC price with it. Im sure im not alone in that either. The market is super weird right now and tether FUD has to be contributing.

Geez this thread's activity sure died down over the past few weeks. Used to be constantly high on the first page, now it has barely a few posts a day.

Also you see how people are always saying buy low sell high, and they weren't buying because they said it was too high, now it falls a lot and people say they don't want to risk it. Classic human behavior, it never changes.

Not criticizing, it's just important to understand it.

classic bubbles is what it is.

you had people who never traded stocks in here buying up e-coins and thought prices would go up forever.
once this shit went from 9000 to 19000 in a month you knew it was all a joke.

you don't see people hyping decentralization anymore either after they've lost money.

As someone who likes ETH, but is holding no crypto right now, the ETHUSD charts look pretty awful. ETH's price is ready to jump off a cliff as soon as BTC gives the green light, which it looks poised to do before too long. Trade/hold at your own risk.

The SAT values for my holdings (Poly, Ven, ICX, WTC at the same time) were way down so I didn't exit on the second time we failed to break through 12k. I think in terms of $ value I'm not too much worse off than I would have been had I exited at that point.

Yeah, ETH is really disappointing atm. I'm just going to keep holding, though. I'd lose way too much money if I sold right now, and I think the price will go back up eventually.

Just a heads up, I and other people have had failed logins on our cryptopia accounts. If you use that site, that could mean your email is known. Make sure you have 2FA and extremely strong passwords (or a password manager that generates random passwords) for all your crypto exchanges and accounts.

Same issue with my Cryptopia account. Getting failed login emails basically daily, but I can't change my email unless I contact Cryptopia support. However, they never seem to reply to anything anyway.

The good news is, I don't have anything on my Cryptopia account in terms of stored coins and I don't have it linked to any other account or any credit card type of info in there, so even if someone busts in, they can't do anything to me besides access my account itself and my records. And, of course, I've got 2FA enabled.

All this nonsense made me look at my Delta app for the first time in a couple months. I'm up about 250% from a peak up being up about 3000% a few months ago, but such is life. Still in the green if I wanted to clear out my stuff, but I was planning to let it sit for a year or more at least anyway.

I said this earlier in the thread.

"The undoing of all these altcoin millionaires is that they're so religious about this that they won't cash out until it's too late."

And it still holds true. Since no one can predict the future, it's likely that non-insiders playing this game are going stay in the game too long and get hurt.

Bought more NEO and VEN. I aint even scared. Shit keeps crashing Ill keep adding, not spending large amounts a few hundred dollars can get you alot of alts right now. The non shitcoins will not completely die and will rise again. I dont care if it takes years! THESE HANDS ARE STRONG AF. #HODLGANG

Same. My buddy convinced me to buy in even though I had a feeling it would fall a lot more. Kinda regret it but I just put in money that didn't have much impact if it goes to zero. Just annoying.

Is volume usually this low when cryptos crash by double digit percentages in one single day?

nope, usually it's a lot higher. Not a good sign IMO. I think we have much further to fall. Wouldn't be surprised to see low $400s on ETH. Probably not today, but maybe over the next week or so.

Though if the volume picks up, I may buy in the mid to high 400s.

what's the consensus on holding LTC ? got about 6.50.
I wouldn't be suprised to see most cryptos fall back to October levels at least which would be $60 or something for LTC. The real question might be though do you consider LTC useful? Do you think it will see more adoption in the future? If so, holding should be fine. If not, well...

Personally, there aren't many coins I would feel comfortable holding at the moment. Iota, Nano... maybe Stellar? But that's about it.

Why should Nano be a safer bet than other top20 coins like NEO or VEN? Beside that speed and bit grail gate, not much comes to mind with it.

My plan was to hodl for years so I dont care about this crash.

However I want to buy more bitcoin now and I'm stressed deciding the best moment. What could be the lowest point?
Buying now and seeing it going to 3000 is gonna hurt.

i only invested 1k usd, and its pretty willing to understand the loss of it - as crypto is a gamble.

mostly invested in blue chip cryptos and day traded.

It's likely that support will hold at either 6k, 5k or 3k – I wouldn't be shocked to see 3k before this is over tbh. I believe there will be a good period of sideways movement before any sustainable rally takes place, so unless you know what you're doing just wait for that.

What a week. December was like hitting the jackpot. I don't think I will ever make that much profit that quick ever again.

Even if I buy at the dip, public perception has left crypto. So we will never have influx of that much new money again. I have less than $5K in crypto now, mostly so I can check on how the market is doing.

I always remember this saying; "The only way to make money with Bitcoin is to sell your coin for more than you paid for it". Crazy times ahead.
