The coolest stuff is from the cash shop but you get free keys just from playing the game if you didn't know they could drop you might even have a bunch of them in your inventory. I think I opened 3 or 4 chests today just from grinding Underground.
Is it those cypher keys?. I have like 7. Wasn't sure what to use them on at the premium vendor. Since the tutorial for it showed so many options lol.

RNG for me hasn't been too kind with the Holiday Cache, I completed the Santa Set in two days, but only one emote has dropped out of 30+ openings.

For anyone at endgame with spare phoenix credits wanting another chance at exotics or classifieds, they have the chance to drop as bonus items from the gear cache at the special equipment vendor in the terminal. I was at the 5k cap so spent a shit load earlier and got 2 classifieds and 1 exotic. Quick example:

Just did 2 underground runs with 3 phases on hard. Made a new friend and got Cassidy as my first exotic on the 2nd run. Up to 276 gear score now and more loot than I know what to do with. Not sure what to sell or dismantle to make room lol.

i would not recommend for solo play alone, but you can do a lot on your own in the first stages of the game. but the heart of the game is certainly pve endgame which is excellent with a lot do and loot. darkzone is also great in its pvp / pve mix.

i play on xbox with online buddies. can not say for lower levels/activities, but higher tier matchmaking never takes long for me (mainly used it for dlc underground).

i can also recommend dlc underground (pve). survival i still want to jump into, sounds really interesting (pve/pvp mix), but can not say yet. last stand i have not tried (pvp) and probably will not. but probably better to wait a bit with dlc if the game clicks.

Been farming GS and DZ09 landmarks on a loop with no interruption (got lucky with the server) over the span of two days, and I got just two classified, none of which I need and zero fucking exotic. Who has time for this fucking BS ?
I'm super salty now, because of those ridiculous drop rates I basically can't do anything else but, what...wait another GE ? Come on.

Can you get phoenix creds just through gameplay?

almost all (?) high tier missions pay out phoenix credits. various randomized loot caches obtained with in-game credits also pay out slightly randomized amounts. there are several ways to receive them in the endgame. but it is one part of the (imo) fair grinding loop. edit: exo weapons and classified gear is quite rare though.

you can ignore mx which are only for some cosmetics. a lot of cosmetics just drop randomly anyway.

Yes

Killing named bosses
Completing higher difficulty missions
HVTs
Weekly/Daily challenges
Incursions
Various caches

And also buying the regular caches at any safe house vendor has the chance for up to 30 IIRC. I use that when running low as the caches are pretty cheap and I'm swimming in normal credits.

4.5k? Ouch rng wasn't looking down on you there!

Good lord so much has changed, I haven't played since Underground dropped. I spent last night farming Lexington and got the Urban MDR to drop, but other than that I have zero idea what to do.

So I just finished the campaign yesterday and that last story mission was great. I can't say it enough but having optional matchmaking for these missions is the best part of this game.

Found 3 other people and we played the final two missions together dying and resurrecting each other. It was great.

Now to wrap my head around the end game. I now have all purples and for some reason The Dark Zone still scares me Lol

Have fun and keep lootin'

Then it's doing its job. The atmosphere there is fantastic!

Few dare to go over the wall into the restricted area to pick up the remaining equipment, but fewer still come out . This is the Dark Zone.

So I'm trying to solo farm classified in Pier 93. I currently don't have a classified build set that I'm running but I do have a 4 piece Nomad set. I'm not really dying but my problem is my guns aren't killing fast enough....which causes me to lose precious time looking for other NPCs to kill as well as the risk of running out of ammo and needing to use SHD tech to buy more. Any advice? I'm running a Lightweight M4 and a Enhanced PP-16 or whatever its called

If you have access to a Ninjabike backpack you could potentially make a hybrid set of 3 Nomad + Ninjapack + 2 other pieces to help you kill faster, as the backpack acts as a bridge to fill out the sets' talents.

I'm running Tacticians 3 pc, Ninjabike pack + 2 other pieces (swapped out depending on situation/solo/challenge/etc) of another set and it works pretty well.

This game is dangerous. Meant to play an hour. Sunk 4 hours into it, losing track of time completely.

the house is a myth. been playing this game non stop for crazy hours and i'm yet to see one drop.

also, this game sucks solo, i know there's matchmaking for every activity but the DZ has proven to be the most rewarding for me, and some of the teams i get put in are douches that just wanna keep going rogue when i just wanna farm div tech and classifieds. i get it, going rogue is cool but they just wanna keep jumping solo players and there's no challenge and fun in that for me.

was just about to extract two pieces that would complete a classified deadeye set for me, i don't really care about deadeye like that, i was gonna put the set on my second character use it/play around with it here and there, and got jumped and out of all the trash in my dz bag the two classifieds dropped publicly. my first time rage quitting a game in years lol

i also don't get how predator works, got the set yesterday, got the 9K stamina requirement with a bunch of crit chance but i'm having trouble dropping people, yet it always feels like people rocking predator melt me super fast

its tough out here man

Doing dark zone right now and got jacked twice. But also managed to extract twice. I hate when players go rogue but it was an intense standoff during the 2nd extraction when 2 players came and we had no idea if they were hostile.

Started playing for the first time. Is it me or the graphics are pretty washed out on pro. The gameplay is ok. I have only done first set of side missions. It's fun so far. I like enemy's animations on getting hit by the bullet something i sorely missed on warframe. Any tips for a beginner

I'd recommend underground (that's where I spend most of my time), survival I haven't done that much of but when I played it was pretty fun.
The Last stand I haven't even played

OT:

So I'm one achievement away from the platinum (I just need I am the law)
Still figuring out a few things
I built an Ult with the defense set what's a good secondary power? I feel like pulse would be helpful, also whats a good secondary set? I have the nomad for some healing.
I finally used the optimization station on the house pretty dope
I still want that Alejandro and Ninja Bike messenger bag though

2 piece Nomad + 4 piece Predator or Striker + AR or SMGs work great for PvE. 4 piece Nomad is probably overkill (imo) since if you're dying your build is probably not good enough anyways (for PvE, PvP is different story entirely). It's a redundant safety blanket, go for gear that gives you damage bonuses instead (also: guns with Predatory bonus, either find one or reroll), while keeping the health on kill bonus.

Basically, I'd do anything you can to swap out two pieces of Nomad to get more damage bonus.

280 feels like a soft cap. Is optimization the only way to get past that hump? All equipment drops are 270 or below recently.

Yeah, and even then gear tops out at 285-295ish iirc. Don't think you can optimize guns beyond 285, gear goes a little higher -- but really it's just maxing out the attribute bonuses which you can also max out for a lot cheaper through re-rolling.

So, really it's just about maxing out those +1400 on holsters

Good to know, as I have 4 pieces of Predator so I'll take your advice and swap out 2 Nomad for it and see what happens

Veterans of The Division. Please come in from the snow. Here, wipe the blood from your face with this fabric. Uh, sure you can keep it...

...anyway, I have a question. I'm only level 6. After level 4 or so, I decided to sell any unwanted loot that's green and below, and plan on dismantling anything blue and above. I'm just wondering what I should do with regular credits once I have a decent amount and am close to lvl 30? I can't be bothered to trek back down to the Terminal, but I assume the stores sell nice weapons/gear that's ridiculously overpriced? Or will I be using credits on the optimising bench?

EDIT: I do like crafting though, so I won't be selling all blue and above loot! Gonna dismantle that shizz.

I could be wrong but at this stage in the game's life, dismantling weapons less than yellow is completely pointless. The best gear is acquired through drops, not blueprints, and the loot drops really often. It's only once you get to the end game that money stops being effective at buying you better gear than what you already have.

Dismantling is only really good for yellow Division Tech towards end game but you're a long way off.

You can always do material conversion at the craft bench: x green to a blue, x blue to a yellow. Same with lower tier Division tech

I usually run in underground I've been venturing more into the dark zone

Guys feel free to add me PSN is TKRunningRiot. I'm pretty much up for anything. Been doing a lot of UG and Survival to farm Hunters for the masks, but I'll have to dip into Resistance sometime. I did my first Last Stand match last night, it was fun, but kept getting melted by geared players w/ The House.
