I love Ted, but why would anyone want to make a movie starring him when they could make one about Jaime?

Jaime is perfect for this. From the moment he was created he was the perfect candidate to be DC's Spider-Man.
I won't believe this is actually happening until they start shooting this thing though. But the potential is there, regardless of the lack of awareness of the character.

Does have me curious if this supercedes the Booster Gold/Ted Kord project. Or maybe they'll have Berlanti move it to the streaming service.

This is so outdated it'd be like listing Inhumans as an upcoming Marvel movie.
Moving it to their streaming service would be a good idea. Continue filling out DCUs content

People need to accept that Jaime Reyes is THE Blue Beetle now.
Justice League Dark and Man of Steel probably aren't happening but most are rumored to be in active development. Which are you referring to out of curiosity?

What sold me is Blue Beetle being the Ms.Marvel before Ms.Marvel in Brave and Bold and fanboying over everyone
Yeah he was great in that show, he was basically the new Robin. DC was pushing him really hard at the time. It hasn't been super fruitful yet but I still see a lot of long term potential. Same with the New Super-Man and the Justice League of China.
Being reworked as a fourth 50 shades type movie?
Brave and Bold is how they should handle most characters on screen to be honest.
