I said it before and I'll say it again:

Watch it become the best selling game.

I doubt it. It's rare to see any good of word of mouth about this game. I know era is a sorta bubble that doesn't represent the masses but everywhere I see a mention of this game e.g. Twitter, YouTube, twitch etc it's mostly negative

delete the directory

I'm sure the bethesda.net launcher has an option to re-scan for installed games, then once it realises that the old directory for FO76 isn't there, it'll remove it?
Not sure though since I haven't installed it

The Bethesda.net client sounds so buggy that it might discover that FO76 folder was deleted and responds by attempting to delete System32.

so they pushed a beta they didn't even test for uninstall? lol Bethesda.

i know, i know, the point of this beta is for you to send over analytics to Bethesda to look at your behaviour and patterns and game data and whatnot - then again the end-user looks at a game that looks like crap, runs like crap, and really the overall game design seems like it's been stuck in the 2000s. Fallout 76 is literally Fallout with multiplayer except we've moved on from that Fallout game design.

This just keeps going from bad to worse. I hope that Doom isn't released on this client or I ain't buying it.
This is one of the first Bethesda games that I will not be buying.

I'm sure this is a bug; to suggest Bethesda did this on purpose to drive sales is ridiculous.

On a side note, I'm glad I wrote this game off straight away and am not having to deal with this crap.

I don't understand what's causing this game to have so many high-profile and high-impact issues, but it's unsettling to follow along with.

So they went from deleting everything at the touch of any button to being unable to remove it at all.

Bra...vo.

I'm remembering the days when you didn't need an uninstaller for something. You just nuked the folder and possibly the shortcut and moved on.

This is kiiiind of a good point for me sticking to Arch Linux, more and more.

User warned: System warring.
The game is clearly more aimed at console players.

They won't hear about this stuff, they won't read reviews, console players are happy buying stuff based on a neat CGI advert and 76 has that.

Unless the game bricks your console, "it's Fallout you can play with your friends" will do more good for the game than a laundy list of bugs will do bad.

Anyone else remember how bad Steam was when Half-life 2 launched?

Doesn't excuse this that much, but for real, all new storefronts are pretty terrible when they launch.

Yeah, but that was 2003.

This is reaching Nintendo levels of "wut!?" I'd understand having server issues or something like that, but not being able to install/uninstall the game because xyz, how long has Betasada developed games for PC!?
