From the leak, only Ken and chorus kids really deserve to be in, and then maybe banjo as a retro semi third party character.

Shadow, Isaac, Mach Rider and especially Geno can die in a fire. Who would in his right mind put Shadow in before tails, who could also be a clone?
I mean, if the leak was true why not include Poochie as well?

I'm literally not buying the game day 1 if the remaining characters are Ken, Incineroar and another lame ass first party character. None of the newcomers I've been wanting to try, I could wait a little longer until a good dlc arrives.

Elsewhere? Because Shadow may look like palette swapped Sonic, but story wise is a pretty interesting foil to him, especially the SAu2 iteration.

Tails without flight and dummy ring bombs would be terrible. Same as a Knuckles without gliding and digging.

Honestly if Paper Mario were to be an assist Trophy, I'd take that. It really has become bothersome how we have a Paper Mario stage and nothing more to show for it. I know that it will likely be Paper or Geno, and since the latter seems like the more popular choice, at least an assist trophy would show something for it.

Clones can have some variation in some moves. It could even be a semi clone like Isabelle, not necesarily a Echo fighter.
