Lame. I'm getting it regardless of reviews anyway, but I'm super interested to see how it's received.

Hoping to get this next month. Sucks about the review embargo, was going to pick this up regardless though. Hopefully it scores and sells well. Need more of these games in my life. Not much hype around here though. I for one am more excited about this, than Red Dead Redemption 2...
Ugh, that sucks. I have it preordered thanks to the Amazon 20% off ending panic but should probably cancel, then. If it ended up sounded very appealing I would have kept it despite having a very full plate as it, but it's not worth it now.
I'm still not 100% sure about this game, but I still pre-ordered it a couple of days ago.

The environment reminds me of Dishonored which is a good thing. I just really really hope this game doesn't suck.
Releasing just in time for halloween is a good idea for this type of game. It's just that RDR2 came out a little before...
and the game kinda fell apart for me once they introduced the shooting.

13 years old.. and on the PC it was released in 2006, so 12 years.. but yeah, it's already so long ago that the game was released so a new Cthulhu game is always welcome
Yeah my DCotE comment was a joke that game has aged poorly but it does still rule. Hope this game can similarly create an atmosphere
That's an unfortunate embargo timing, but I could see how you can maybe work around the big red cowboy in the way of things (as anyone who has titles releasing around this period could tell you).

It could be really good or really bad. Source material will not be an issue for a game like this but how it is implemented is important.

Dark Corners of the Earth was good until they started throwing half-assed combat and stealth at you. If they had stuck with the survival horror feel of the beginning of the game, it would have been better off.

I put RDR2 on the back burner since I received my review key for this. Played for about 4 hours straight tonight before I realized it was about 2AM.
Obviously can't say much else aside from: I'm pretty sure the voice actor for the main guy (Pierce) in this is the same as the actor for the main character in Vampyr. Needless to say, I have melded those two gaming worlds together in my mind and the result is fantastic. You tell me that the idea of a vampire that gave up his life as a doctor to become a private investigator tasked with investigating Old Gods isn't the best thing ever and I'll call you a liar.

Can you at least say what the concrete gameplay is about yet? Is it a Point'n'Click in 3D, a walking sim with puzzles, an action game or more like the Frogwares Sherlocks? Open World? Clear Levels?

Walking sim with puzzles, batman crimescene reconstruction, shitty stealth segments. No combat. Not open world but some hub-world style areas. RPG character xp style that opens dialogue tree options like Fallout series for example. And yes, madness and afflictions :D

Never thought I'd be looking forward to this title so much, but the developer demo sold me on it.
