When does "The Huntsman's Lodge" unlock?
I've driven to the location but there is no option to buy.

Weekly challenges without skillsongs takes too long.

I didn't even know it did unlock, it came up with option to buy the first time I found it.

Are you sure you're in the right place?

The music in FH4 is parsed dynamically from one XML file.

I know and it's a feature I really like about the game, but Grid did a bit more with it by escalating the music every round, a bit like Mario Kart if I think about it. It did a lot to raise the tension in the game.

Now as we speak about it, has anyone noticed that the music track apruptly changes during long races like the Goliath or Titan? Is that a bug?

This update adds the Route Creator to Forza Horizon 4. Create custom routes of up to 40 miles from any Asphalt, Dirt or Cross-Country Event starting location. Draw the custom route by driving your car, and place checkpoints anywhere you want to. Blueprint Creator has been updated to allow you to use custom routes.

I was wondering how the route creator would work without any wapoints to set manually. This seems like a really clever solution, but I have to see the execution first.

Added quit option in Quickplay Team Adventure after finishing an Adventure.

Fucking finally. That this ever shipped without that option is still a mystery to me.

For this exploit you would have to go offline, uninstall VIP, and then reinstall it, making the VIP house purchasable for free again, and repeat to get endless Super Wheelspins. (I may have worded this wrong or might have worded the process wrong)

I'd advise against doing any exploit within game as this is against Microsofts Code of Conduct

"Don't cheat or tamper. For example, don't:
  • Use unauthorized hardware or software
  • Exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches
  • Make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents (e.g., tenure, Avatar, game saves, Gamerscore, achievements)
  • Intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods"

Are "rivals" broken?
In previous games I would get rivals recommendations every day. In FH4 none so far and I've been playing since launch day.

Man, I continue to love playing this game. I am super pumped for Red Dead 2, but surprisingly I will probably still try to play this game some in parallel because it is such a joy for me to drive around and see the amazing graphics everywhere too. It really helped my personal enjoyment when I started using the "filter" on the map view so that I could just pick one of the incredible number of things to do and just focus on having fun with that, such as spending a lot of time last night just chasing the bonus boards (including some really tough ones on top of buildings that took some real effort). Great job Playground Games!

so I reached level 9 on cross country and dirt series, but can't find new races in those categories to reach level 10 and get my achievement? what gives? how do I get more events from specific modes?

If I keep racing other events (like road series, street scene), will that unlock more dirt and cross country races?

Have you done the big ones, Titan for cross-country, that should give you plenty of influence to level up.

You don't need to do new races to level up. You can literally do the same race over and over again to Level up any series.

If you want to level up a little bit faster, you can increase the difficulty of your races.

If I ever get to this point where I have to re-do races against drivatars to grind credits, I'm out lol.

Granted their is so much content in this game that for me personally I'll probably never hit that point, I've probably played 30+ hours and I still feel like their is a ton of stuff I haven't even touched yet (basically all the online components). Between all the activities in the world and the seasonal stuff updating weekly I don't imagine I'll ever hit that point.

Oh, really? Thanks !

Yup, no problem. Also if you want more variety, you can blueprint any race to give it a bit more variety... And after the upcoming update, the community will be able to create and share unique races

and what the deal with those BS cosmetic items?? Man, 80% of my spins are just items, I get 3 at once in the super spin

PG/Turn10 incorporating trends, but without enough consideration for how it impacts the feedback loop.

Do these ever show as completed?

I've done them but don't have the usual gold stuff like the other races.

I was in a mixer and someone had told me that you need to do default race and not custom blueprint. I didn't know this and have been doing custom blueprints.

I like it. I wish freeroam rush wasn't part of the online adventure and I kinda wish you got XP for the type of race as well as online adventure.

How much is a daily business payout!? I get 12000 CR, and 3 stared all events

huh i got 5500 or so for 3 stars, get 8900 or so for 12 stars, and i guess at 30 stars (the max?) you get 12k? A small gap between low and top i guess.

Forza rewards are another huge source of credits per week, depending on how many forza games you have played. I get 300k every friday

There is a weird problem with Forza Horizon 4. Using a Logitech Driving Force Pro (yeah I know, it's old lol) on PC I'm left with two options. Using 200° mode gets you a car that is too quick with the steering , and using 900° mode gets a slow turning car that still locks in game at around 200°. It make driving harder than it should be, since I race with all assists turned off and no replay.

Anyone else fighting this issue? Also no matter how much I adjust deadzones, both in and out for the brakes, touching the pedal is just like a digital on/off, making me spin mid corner a lot.

I think I need a good rundown on the economics in the game...
Skill points, influence points and credits.
Multipliers, perks..
I'm level 32 iirc and still have no idea how they interact with each other

That's a pretty good chunk of cash. How much time do you spend playing ranked team adventure? And how long did it take to get to that tier?

Tiers work by playing past games too. They take into consideration a lot of stuff like gamerscore in past forza games, how many cars you owned in past games.

Essentially it's a history of all Forza games that determine your tier.

I've been less than satisfied with the results of my own tunes, as well as with the top downloadable tunes; as many of them just throw in the biggest engine swap possible, swap to 4WD, throw the #ForzaWing on and send you on your way with no regard for the character of each car.

I came across this reddit post by a guy who has done over 100+ tunes of all sorts and compiled them into a google spreadsheet with a great description of each tune and what the tune is suited for. He has them sorted by street, rally, and cross-country, and has also made specific tunes for every seasonal event so far.

He seems to put some care and effort into the tunes; he keeps iconic RWD cars RWD, he'll keep the stock engine in a car for the sake of the exhaust note...all details I can appreciate and make it seem like he really enjoys tuning. I've tried a handful out and so far they've been really great. I'd definitely recommend checking his tunes out.

He's already updated the spreadsheet with like 20 more tunes since he posted on reddit a few days ago, so definitely worth keeping up with (as of 28 minutes ago he added more cars actually lol)

Oh wait, I was thinking of ranked team adventure and the rewards there for reaching a certain rank.

Thank you for this! I was feeling the same way about the "top tunes".

That is really interesting because I do something very similar, except I won't use any "race" upgrades for the most part. I have some cars that I max tune to their class to use when needed but almost all my cars are just light-to-medium tuned street cars that aren't at any specific class. I just take the car and think how would I want to modify this for street/fun use. It keeps the personality of the cars and I really enjoy playing the game that way.

Kinda like Driveclub.
The "variable" option under weather actually meant "you really need to see how good our rain looks".
I don't think I went a full spring day in FH4 without a little rain and like I said earlier weather constantly changing so rapidly is ever so slightly annoying.
Great game though

There is the "post rain" as well, it is wetter "post rain" than when it is raining, they really need to put in another set of tires that are full wets/rain tires because that is what is required.

Anyone else not being able to connect to a Horizon Life session? why is the online so poor on this game, what happened to "the cloud" that Microsoft were going on about that would revolutionize gaming because this is in my experience one of the worst online performances in any game so far.

Oh man this will be great, I've been reluctant to get tunes for a lot of cars because who wants to drive AWD classic muscle cars?
