Yep completely. There's a simple set of icons on the Forza Life menu where you can easily switch between online and offline.

One benefit of playing offline is that there's much more AI traffic making the world seem more alive. That'll change a bit when more people are online, but playing just now just had 24 people in my game. There is still AI traffic, but not as much. So I went offline and my world came to life.

Yep it's just addicting in a good way!

I want to slow it down a bit so I can enjoy over a long period of time but it's like non stop fun coming at you

And forzathon live was a brilliant idea

FH4 will absolutely be one of my goty candidates. So right now it's a race between GoW, Spidey and FH4. Still have to play AC Odyssey, Smash and Red Dead 2.

When it comes to MP options, what kind of racing/mode options are in FH4? Been playing OnRush recently and I would love to see some of the modes in that appear in FH4, if they worked of course.

How can I check how many more influence I need to gain to get on next level (it's global influence, if I remember). My Horizon Life doesn't show anything. Just about races and tasks. But there is no window with our main level progression.

CTF, King of the Hill, Infection, couple others I'm forgetting. Most people just like to race though. Have yet to find a game on the Playgrounds.

as good as the game is, i think they should have improved collisions and car damage, it is the exact same model from FH3 with this badly looking shattered windshield...

and whats with the day/night transitions, they are still much too fast...you see that the night is over and suddenly it is day again, why is it in this timelapse mode?

just make it much slower so you can appreciate the different nuances of the lighting more...would love a setting for this

decals on the cars are also still pixelated when you look up close, another area where there is no improvement to FH3

I don't understand how the Mixer stream thing works. I have it open, linked to my MS account, yet nothing comes up in-game.

Edit: Apparently I have to be qualified for the Horizon Roster to use it. When will that happen?

the lack of ai traffic and human players being ghosted makes me only go online for public events. Solo feels so much more lively, ironically.

I think car collisions has to do with the licensing. Auto makers don't want their cars looking beatup.

Anyone knows how many drift points do you need to get 3 stars in Drift Club Chapter 2 in Horizon Story? I hate it how they don't say the requirements for 3 stars in the story mode.

When I try to find a clan and input "Resetera" or "Forzaera" in the search field I get zero results.

What I'm I doing wrong ?

So I bought the standard edition on pc and can play it now. I thought the game was only available for the ultimate edition until Tuesday

I feel like I need my first mega or hyper car, but bloody hell are they expensive. 1m+ for the important ones. Not sure what to get. The Ford GT HE Edition and Koenigsegg One:1 were my top picks for FH3.

Slight concern about longevity of Forza Horizon 4 is that unlike #FH3 not every exhibition race is also linked to a championship. Meaning far fewer championships on the map the than last game. I hope this changes so there are more championships - ie one linked to every icon on the map like FH3.

Is there a list of differences between playing online vs offline? I kinda prefer playing offline because I like clear distinction between single player vs multiplayer in my games. I also noticed that, ironically, playing in Solo mode the world feels more lively, packed with drivatars that you can actually bump into. When playing online it's just other player car ghosts.

You still get AI on the roads in online, but as you say there are much fewer and the world feels less alive.

It took me forever to find that "one last road" I needed in Forza Horizon 3. I'm up to like... 520-something in FH4 already. Every time I find a new one, it'll show me someone in the ERA club with more and I'll be like "Oh, I guess I'm going to play just a little bit longer now, huh?"

Yea, as of yet, outside of Forzathon Live events (which are awesome, if too easy), I'm really not seeing the benefit of the shared world from a gameplay perspective since some of the negatives get in the way of the positives, eg the world feels far less populated when you're connected, plus as you said most people are just ghosting about anyway, so there's little in the way of real interaction or dialogue.

Perhaps if I was grouped up with others I'd feel somewhat different, but truth be told I'm a predominantly solo type of player.

Now that the quick chat has its own button and we can no longer scroll the radio both ways, I think it'd be nice if we could disable certain stations. For instance, I never listen to Horizon Block Party, so removing it from the selection would mean less to scroll when I miss the station I want.
