I think the interactivity with the DualShock 4 Is what makes it feel really special. Anyone who has a PSVR should try the PlayRoom level to see what I'm talking about. So it's literally Mario 64 (styled game) on VR.
Don't imagine a 3rd person 3D platformer will make VR mainstream, but it sounds like it should be good enough
You can already see it in this thread.
We are all shocked by your comment, really unexpected. It will flop hard and have like zero impact. Comparison with SM64 is strange.
It's not hyperbole, PSVR owners have tasted the magic that is Robot Rescue since it launched. This is a full game based on the Play Room game mode. It's a brilliant example of how to do 3rd person gameplay well in VR.so we're getting a thread every time this horwitz guy say something hyperbolic regarding VR?
There's already (effectively) a playable level in The Playroom VR and Astro Bot has been demoed at a bunch of industry events. If you don't hang around in VR circles, it was easy to miss, but people have been singing this game's praises since day one of PSVR.Such an unfair burden to place on a new IP that hasn't even been publicly demoed yet.
We have a guy from the future here.It will flop hard and have like zero impact. Comparison with SM64 is strange.
Yeah review thread is gonna be shitGlad he's excited, I am too.
But he's triggering a highly sensitive fan-base that's probably going to try and smear this game now.
As long you promise to post your extremely insightful thoughts in everyone!so we're getting a thread every time this horwitz guy say something hyperbolic regarding VR?
There was a lot more to Mario 64 than just it's rendering. It's rendering wasn't even the groundbreaking thing about it, as it wasn't even the first 3D gameI can't see how implementing the players head as 'a chase cam' changes anything really.
Mario 3D was a fundamental shift in rendering.
