I've been having random connection issues all day and evening so it could be their problem still.
Yeah I don't think servers can handle the load.

I can usually play fine in the evening in the UK, which is incidentally when the Japanese are sleeping (probably popular there), but apart from that I was still getting errors.

Someone should set up an Animal Crossing Discord chat so we can set up trades for each other and get super OP.

(I'm level 43, I know what I'm talking about. We could all be rich. Rich beyond our wildest dreams.)

Oh, I might've been wrong about what time the marketplace changes ): I saw a popular twitter thread with other good beginners tips list every six hours so I thought it was true. I got to midnight and my items didn't rotate though, haha. I'll look into what time it does change.

There server issues with this game is crazy. It's such a pain with how often the game checks in. Never had these extended issues with Nintendo's other mobile games. You think with weeks in Australia they would have been more prepared. It was good for most of the day but now... I wonder if its tied to Japan users being up?

I honestly have no damn idea. Japan users have been awake for many hours already.

Seems like forcing huge chunks of your playerbase out of the game so they can immediately start slamming the servers trying to get back in wasn't the greatest decision.

So it was server issues then. Hope they got it all sorted out.

Edit: I guess they still haven't sorted it out. Game kicked me back to the title screen and I can't connect back in.

More I play the more I dislike the game. Feels completely shallow gameplay wise. Don't think I'd be playing if it weren't for the godly animal crossing charm.

Japanese players are awake which means the server is going to be overloaded at this time. JP twitter announced that there is server issues and they'll be finding a fix for it. Hope it's soon, game is unplayable for me at the moment. Forgive me if you sent me a request for help for quarry, can barely do anything in the game.

I find it very unintuitive to have to constantly place furniture you probably dont want just to invite a villager.

Crafting the furniture should be enough. Im so sick of placing stuff down then having to delete it.

The game will do it for you automatically, and remove them for you automatically through the call menu.

You can use the auto set-up feature to automatically set-up the furniture in your camp. It will then ask you if you want to keep the automatic set-up or not. If not, it will return to your original set-up.

Edit: Beaten. LOL.

Yeah, if you choose to have it auto arrange, it gives you the option to clean it up and put everything back the way you found it.

It's not the most obvious thing in the world, but it's much more convenient than doing it yourself.

Shit, double beaten

When you have villagers in your camp do they not ask for requests as often as ones not in your camp?

The ones outside of camp give me like 3 requests per cycle.

Yeah, you had to consider them "bonus" requests. You may be better off kicking someone you want to power level out of the camp for a bit.

I swear to god, every single animal wants monarch butterflies - and lots of them. I think I may have completely eradicated them by now.

I wish there was a way to see all the market boxes in an easy screen. Going through every friend manually is such a pain in the backside. There should be a place in the market area with a bunch of market boxes that rotates or something.

It feels like Animal Crossing but retooled for phones.
You decorate your campsite instead of your home, and instead of mayor you manage a camp site.
Obviously it is f2p so it's structed different than other Animal Crossing games.

Anyone bought the Tom Nook or K.K Slider chair for your site: Are they worth the 120 ticket cost? Does K.K play random songs, or just sit there?

You should also be able to retrieve or re-price items you have in your market boxes.

My friend listed a tuna for max price so now hes fucked unless some madman buys it for 50k bells.

This game is pretty good. Its got just enough of the Animal Crossing DNA for me to keep coming back.

This too. Instead you just have to delete it and lose the items in the process. I get the risk reward aspect as the sale price is substantially higher than the 10 bells the game offers you to sell, but without proper outreach of the boxes it's just abit crappy.

Got my tree swing up! :D Well, technically I've still got to wait 48 more hours till it's finally ready but I still feel pretty accomplished.

This so much. It's incredibly annoying.

I'm level 8 so here are some impressions.

+Looks really nice with vibrant colors and much polished up character models.
+Animals are much more lively and active in their off time. They sit and read, take naps, fan dance, drink coffee etc. A good upgrade from them just kinda walking around like in the normal AC titles.
+Love the music and the classic AC sounds, though the charming "you can't move that here" bleep is now the bane of my existence since it's tied to the server error message
+Several cool additions I would like to see implemented in AC Switch. The whole concept of having a camping area came to New Leaf eventually, but this is obviously something bigger. I would like them to expand upon it even more on the console version. The nets and honey better be in there. I also think AC could benefit by having this kind of fast travel for certain areas. In New Leaf what's the point of walking halfway across my town to get to the RV site?

-Funneling everything into a linear upgrade path is the antithesis of Animal Crossing. Everyone gets the same stuff at the same time, it kills the sense that the town is personalized for you. You're never going to find some super rare item in a tree, or catch a coelacanth until you hit a specific level.
-Dialogue is severely trimmed down. I know they don't want to make the animals too chatty because people are just trying to farm materials, but a lot of the animals seems so bland and lack personality without their detailed diatribes.
-Catching fish and bugs is too easy. They turned a legitimate eSport into a mindless baby game.
-Loading is making my brain melt. Connecting to the server for the simplest tasks makes everything seem much harder than it should be. Maybe it will be cleared up in the future, but getting an error message after simply talking to a character is modern gaming in a nutshell.

It's charming and amusing enough. I mean it's free. But I feel like they watered down a lot of my favorite things about AC. I'm interested to see what they do with it in the future and how it could connect to AC Switch.
