I'm buying Smash and RE2. RE2 probably won't be at launch date. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

DQXI will last me for a loong time as it is.

My feeling is a lot of those Q1 games are going to cannabalize each other's sales. There will be victims, even if that means only selling ~2million.

you forgot about Spyro OP, it's coming out in November

anyway KH3 is the biggest game for me in that list, there are other things i'm interested in like Smash and DMCV but KH3 goes above all of them in what i want the most

New Super Mario Bros Deluxe is probably going to outsell every game on this list except maybe BO4 and RDR2

Should probably mention it :P

It is a pretty solid list but tbh a lot of those are "buy on sale" for me, and even then there are a lot of "maybe"s, so I'm mainly going to be sticking to the backlog (still working through the 2017 games I have, let alone the earlier ones). I'm waiting for a sale for the following:

Shadow of the Tomb Raider (still need to finish Rise of the Tomb Raider first, too)
RDR 2 - will probably take ages for a sale though
AC: Odyssey (need to see reviews too)
Battlefield V
Fallout 76 (again, need to see reviews)
Just Cause 4
Days Gone
Division 2 (I'd want to play through 1 first but I'm not sure if playing either of them would be worthwhile for SP)

The only two in there I'd want to buy ASAP would be Just Cause 4 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but I can wait for them to get cheaper and I wouldn't be surprised to see them be at $20 or so a year after release.

So much this. I'm a year behind with new releases and loving all the cash savings and having fully working and patched games!

Same here. IMO it's a lot cheaper and more sensible, especially if you can get GoTY editions for some of the even older games.

The rest of the year I have
RDR2
COD BO IIII
Fallout 76

Hopefully grabbing on BF for $30
Ass Cred O
Yakuza Kiwami 2
Fist of the North Star

2019
Anthem
Days Gone

Things are crazy. I already know I don't have time to play all these games but I'm still going to do it. Smh.

There's only one game on that list I'm interested in buying at launch, I'm not fussed about a need to 'keep up' with the big releases. I might pick up a few of the rest years later when they've been patched, heavily discounted and word-of-mouth rather than hype threads are abundant etc.

Red Dead Redemption 2, Smash and Kingdom Hearts are my my primary picks. Excited for plenty more but I won't pick up anything else unless I finished those three games. Can't wait, going to be a fun end and beginning of the year :)

Its been expensive for me and gonna get worse.

Gamepads and not really bothering about getting games launch has saved me a fortune but this month I have already bought:

A PS4 with Spiderman
Until dawn
Uncharted 4
Yakuza 0
PES 2018
Horizon

And I plan on buying on launch these games just this year:

Red Dead 2
Fifa 19
Call of Duty
Battlefield V
Fallout 76 (this is out this year right?)

Too many games, not enough time.

Out of all them games I'm honestly only looking forward to Sekiro shadows die twice. I may possibly get rdr2, cod, assassin's creed but all at later dates at cheaper prices

I rather not think about it OP, there's just too much that it feels overwhelming, in a good way. Thankfully Switch has underwhelming list, for now, outside of Smash so I think I can go through them all

The first three months of next year are well with in my taste, more so than any other time in recent memory. Though you are forgetting a couple on that list for next year.

The rest of this year is just SoulCalibur 6, Smash and Dragon Marked for Death.

Owned or definite.
Spider-man
Red Dead Redemption 2
Forza Horizon 4
Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Hitman 2
Resident Evil 2
Sekiro Shadows Die 2x

Highly likely
Battlefield V
Fallout 76
Super Smash Bros

Will wait until pennies

Just Cause 4
The Division 2

More info needed.
Anthem

Will buy with an X as a present to MS if the destruction isn't nerfed to a single room in a single 1v1 mode, and even remotely resembles that original E3 footage outside of their LAN perfect conditions scenario.
Crackdown 3

All on PC unless unavailable.

10p in well wish... Rimworld 2 in 2019.

I am only excited for DMC 5.
Anthem is interesting, but I will keep my distance for now.

I am mostly excited for the indie games will come out soon.

Edit:
Oh, 8 guess also Sekiro Shadows Die 2x.

Lots of promising games in that list. But my backlog is huge! I still haven't played AC Origins and Hitman for example.

I will maybe buy Smash from the list.

New Super Mario Bros Deluxe in January for me. and although there's still no release date yet, Pillars 2 will be my main game for the holidays.

RE2 and DMCV are the only games I'll be buying so no problem for me, and even DMC I'm not entirely sure I like the look of

I'm fine, the games I want should fit into my budget. I like Collector's Editions unfortunately, so things could get costly but I always pay for a few big staple games that I know I want months in advance during the summer (i.e. Assassin's Creed, Dragon Quest, Valkyria Chronicles).
That eases the financial burden of these busy months considerably and strangely enough it feels like I get the games I want the most for free even though I know that it isn't so.

Red Dead, Smash, Devil May Cry, RE2 and Sekiro will be my day one buys. I'll pick up Life is Strange 2 when the full season releases and BFV is still a maybe.

The trick is to realize the idea of playing these games outweigh the actual excitement one might derive from them because reality can never match the expectation.

My list is shorter, but there's still an unusually high number of games I'm interested in releasing in the next 6 months

Black Ops IIII
Red Dead 2
Spyro Remastered
Smash Bros
Ass Creed Oddysey
Trials Rising

And it's not new, but Nioh is still on my "to buy" list and that's rumoured to be free on ps+ next month

Oh Mario Bros in January as well? And I think Hollow Knight comes to PS4 soon, don't know when exactly.

Going to pick up Forza Horizon 4, Considering Red Dead Redemption, If Pokemon Let's Go reviews well, I'll get it, I lost all interest in BFV after the beta as I think I'm satisfied with BF4/1 for now. Smash Bros will be my only December game. 2019 will be tough. Starting the Year with New Super Mario Deluxe, Gives me time to finish most of the game until Resident Evil 2. Try finishing the game within 4 days in time for Kingdom Hearts 3. If Days Gone reviews well, it'll be the game I prioritize with Anthem as side content and hope to get most of the game finished before Left Alive. Pretty much do most of it before Devil May Cry V till when Sekiro releases. Nothing seems to be announced in April/May so that's the time I'd finish the games I haven't quite completed.

I dunno.
Spider-Man
RDR2
AC Odyssey
Just Cause 4

Not that much interests me in that line up but all four of them will certainly keep me entertained.
