Yep! There are some conspicuous slowmo bits but otherwise it is pretty seamless. They could have shipped this without QTEs. I've never enjoyed QTEs, and found them annoying way back in Die Hard Arcade and Shenmue.

Construction scaffolding. You can pull it down on enemies.Hit 3 enemies with scaffolding. What's scaffolding? The crane thing?
Alright, thank you
Yeah there are a lot + JJJ podcast or communications from police, it's too bad

What does that even mean?
Like, comparing activating the antennas in this towers in Far Cry or Horizon doesn't make sense. Yes, they serve the same function but execution wise, they're basically just webswinging landmarks. They take literal seconds to do, compared to the towers in other games that force you to slow down and annoyingly scale them. In other games, they're an annoying departure from regular gameplay; that's why towers in those games are frustrating, not merely because towers are present.
Your impact webbing gets replenished when you knock out an enemy in a fight.
"Busy work" is subjective, it's literally right in the term. If you're enjoying what you're doing, then it's, by definition, not busy work. Doubly so if such content is contextualized by narrative (ie compare feathers in AC to backpacks here). This goes for any activities in any game, not just Spider-ManIf you dont get it i aint gonna explain it to you. Its a pretty simple concept to grasp. All what you described is busy work. Its filler.
If you love that stuff and want to defend it go make a thread about your love of towers.
At Amazon UK Spider-Man is already the best selling video game product for the whole of 2018!

Totally, they feel very "early 2000s and we're still trying to figure out open world missions".Ah, that makes sense and also explains the BND elements. Big fan of Slott's Spidey.
At this point ( think I'm probably less than half way), I think I prefer this game's story to Homecoming (and I really like Homecoming).
I've done 2 research missions, including that one, and they are my least favorite parts of the game. Not sure I will do more.
Is there a lot of phone communication in the game? Insomniac not using the DS4 speaker seems like a real missed opportunity. It was awesome in the likes of GTA5.
English isn't my first language so I think it's okay if I forget a word or two every once in awhile. Thanks :)How do you not know what scaffolding is lol. Looks sort of like this. R1+L1 it whilst an enemy is near it.
Yeah figured it out. Thanks a lotElevated platforms on metal bars that you'll often find on Fisk construction rooftop bases. Wait for enemies to run past then L1+R1 to pull it down. Don't worry about Spidey as he leaps out of the way if he's in range.

Loading screens don't have gameplay so that's a moot comparisionBy which logic, if you love loading screens they are not loading screens but art installations.
I hate this ridiculous standard where our heroes have to be gorgeous outside as well as inside.Just finished the first mission and a couple things:
- What an amazing opening to a game and sooooo perfect for helping you get your bearings
- Combat is so much more difficult and rewarding than I imagined. I'm playing on Spectacular and there is no way any of the reviewers that complained about it being too easy played on this setting. Its so much more versatile and challenging than I was expecting. Already like it more than Arkham.
- Really don't like the character model for Peter Parker. He is just kind of an ugly kid.
- Game is gorgeous.

JK he ain't got no alibi
"Offers little to the main experience" is subjective though. Like here "the main experience" here is "making you feel like Spider-Man", and stuff like crimes and backpacks all add to and reinforce thatJust cos something has gameplay it doesnt mean it has value.
Busy work. Filler. Call it what you want. If the experience is repetitive and offers little to the main experience its padding out the time. Whether you enjoy it or not.
The complaint isn't that they're hard, it's that there's like eight of them, they're all the same and they screw up the pacing. That they're extremely simple, repetitive and easy is a negative.
That's not even close to the same logic.By which logic, if you love loading screens they are not loading screens but art installations.
don´t know why people having problems with the combat...it is very simple, it shows you the buttons at the beginning... my tip is play on hard that way it teaches you how to use everything effectively. and take the second skilltree first upgrade and the dodge window upgrade and you are good to go...
just dodge a lot in this game and you will be fine, circle button is your best friend here...can´t really understand how someone buys Spiderman and expects it to have no fighting...
you even can heal yourself in the game....it is not as hard as it looks, just take your time to learn the buttons
