What?! Wow, I'm in the Pacific so I guess we all just on outside looking in from here. That or people just being political and keeping their mouths shut.

Edit: damn it's going to be a culture shock once I head back to the US.
You have to remember that those on active duty aren't necessarily from Cali too. They can be from anywhere in the country. But even those from the state were ignorant too, though and were Sacramento or LA natives.

It's really a brilliant campaign, because unless you're a political nutjob, it works even if you disagree with Kaepernick's stance. It's impossible to deny the man is fighting (and paying a price for it) for what he believes in. And that's worth your respect, which is the message they want to sell.

Well, they actually want to sell shoes, but let's leave cynicism at the door for a moment. Also because this is a brave commercial move. There will be people who will be pissed off at this. But if they enjoy positive or even stable commercial results, they'll be making a point about their audience, and one that is going to be a big L for those who hate on the campaign.

American "patriotism" is so puzzling. Somehow a black man kneeling (fucking KNEELING... in Church people kneel even!), not spitting, not sitting, not turning your back, no, kneeling during the national anthem before a sportsball match was spun into that meaning you hate the flag, the country and even dragged the military into this mess.

Really fucking sad and infuriating that Fox News and our moronic, racist President have been successful in brainwashing millions and millions of idiots around our country to think that Kaep and others are anti-American, anti-military, anti-flag protesters.

That the actual message is lost on so many is maddening.

America, you're so goddamn lame.

How can anyone have pride in America while America does baby shit like petulantly cutting apart their socks?

That's an excellent question.

In their Fox News riddled minds, hurriedly cutting the Nike logos off their socks in furious anger over the company siding with a black activist makes them true patriots in Trump's mutated backwater meme frog army.

I need to get my hands on a Kaep jersey or shirt soon, too. Hopefully Nike puts some out.

The salt around this gives me life. Glad Kaep is out there doing his thing and this won't just fizzle out.

Even if these weirdos want to get rid of all their Nike merch in disgust... why burn it ? donate it to homeless people or something . Someone sure could use it .
Always the assholes, these snowflakes .

Dunno, I feel this was a bad move by Nike and Kaep. I support the kneeling, but for people who said this wasn't about the troops, they went ahead and made it that.

*If you disagree with Nike, the appropriate response is to mutilate your clothing (that you already paid for), instead of donating it to homeless veterans that you pretend to care about. Then again, I'm guessing you think the homeless vet would spit on your Nike socks and join you in this great stand.*

Let me get this straight, this dumb-ass gets to express his first amendment right by burning his shoes...while still wearing them. But this dude, a NFL player, is not allowed to kneel to express his right against police brutality against minorities and the powers that be that perpetuate it that do absolutely nothing about it and condone it? People really need to step outside of their fuckin' privilege just for a second just to see how fucking dumb this shit is.

My Facebook feed is full of people outraged by this. Especially suburban moms mad that they just went school clothes shopping and bought a bunch of Nike stuff for their kids.

Makes me laugh. I will be going to Nike today or tomorrow to buy some new stuff. I need a new rain jacket - i was thinking of going to Kohls or something, but this helped make my decision.

GG Nike.

A new day, a new surprise on how stupid part of America can be. I'm both amazed and disgusted.

Whatever, your loss *kisses his Nike Lunar Paul Rodriguez 9 R/R*

Yeah, love the marketing idea behind it. Nike's advertising teams are bananas though, always with top content.

Last night on a friends Facebook, whom is a cop, some woman wrote (paraphrasing):

This is just wrong by Nike. Imagine being a cop where you're judged by your uniform and could die for wearing that uniform.

I would have replied with "imagine being black where you are judged by your skin color and could die for having that skin color."

Congrats to him! He's been fucked over by the NFL for too long.

The only issue I've had with Kaep is that he will protest but didn't vote in the elections right afterwards.
