The Jays should have traded Stroman, Sanchez and Donaldson before last season and gotten something for them while they were still good and not oft-injured. Kickstarted a rebuild and did it properly instead of delaying it to fill the seats with more Millenials.

Now they seem to have gotten a shit return for who was one of their best players and still could be, all because they waited far too long.

These idiots in management suck.

How could they have predicted future injuries?

I'm not saying they should have. I'm just saying that they should have traded them before, and started the rebuild earlier, instead of delaying it for attendance reasons. Looks where it's gotten them and those players.
Another 10-15 years of endless rebuilds and low attendance until they acquire someone like 2015 Donaldson again and the team has a decent season.

The Jays have a lot of up-the-middle talent coming up, and will have next year's Ronald Acuna manning 3B out of spring training. The Jays will be ok if they get a starter or two.

I'm pretty sure he's going to be in the minors until 2021 because they don't want to start ticking the clock on his years of service and are aiming for some planned World Series run in 2027 that never materializes. Never mind he should have been playing after May at the latest.

The David Wright nonsense is trivial compared to this in my opinion. David Wright is awful at the moment, I can see an argument for not playing him in the majors until he shows some improvement.

All I'm seeing is "player to be named later". Considering the Jays sent Donaldson + cash, that better be one helluva good player for an MVP.

Ownership has treated it like one in the past, not paying enough to secure as much talent as needed. Also, it's overlooked by a lot of people and players because it's Canadian and not American.

It's not like LA, NY or Boston, where they have basically unlimited funds.

That sounds like an ownership problem not a market problem. Mets are from the same city and they are horrible because their ownership is inept and penny-pinching.

Part of it is, sure, but a lot of American free agent players don't want to play in a different country. That's not ownership's problem, it's the League and sport's.

90% of Toronto fans are trolls, its fine

Got excited, immediately disappointed.

Much like reading that the Yankees traded for someone and then reading the name of said someone.

Acuna was a praise moving the runner to third base. Braves have had problems moving players over the last few games.

Because of things like that is what helped that inning. Basic baseball.
