I literally just finished Quantum Break. What a great story in a so so game. Finally gonna play through the MCC. Shadow Warrior is a nice add as well.

Hopefully this pulls in a nice audience for OnRush! That game seems awesome but was definitely hurt by people thinking it was a racing game and its $60 initial price.

I'm really excited to try Avenue Colony, very happy it was added. Inner Space looks neat as well, and On Rush is a great addition to the service.

The rest I already have many. You should all try Manual Samuel, it's awesome with friends! (And even better with weed and beer lol).

Good month overall.

Really good month for me.

Held off on QB and can't wait to try Snake Pass out. Being able to play the MCC without the disc is nice too.

PSN gets Destiny 2, while XB Game Pass gets OnRush - great gets for the services, but not great for the games themselves.
Honestly the Destiny 2 deal is worse since it's just the base game which is incredibly limited right now. It's basically equivalent to a trial now. If it came with all the DLC sans Forsaken it would be a way bigger get.

Why? It encourages people to play the game which increases chances they might purchase it or something for the game.

It's a far better preposition than a game sitting on the store and people not being interested.

Nice, definitely gonna try Quantum Break. Always think about it when it hits $20 in the sales, just never pulled the trigger.

In the case of OnRush, I already tried it during the Free weekend, and it didn't really grab me, so throwing it in Game Pass isn't going to make me play it any more than I already have.

So what's the deal with Onrush, it's not a racing game?
It's a racing game but very untraditional in the sense that there's no finish line and where you place doesn't matter at all. It's an objective focused team based race, things like capture the zone, and collecting points through the use of turbo (named Rush ingame), a spin on team deatmatch, etc.

I know it sounds very weird at first but it's all brilliantly executed and once you try it and get the hang of it blows you away.

Oh yeah? That's definitely not what I've heard. But I have no experience with it, so you might be right.
What did you hear, though? As different of a racing game as it is, what kind of complex mechanics you think the game has that needs an actual human being to teach you how it works?

It's literally just

  • Crash opponent vehicles
  • Try working towards the match objective
  • Don't die

Nothing specific, I guess. I just heard that it can be hard to learn. I mean, that info might have been wrong!

Grabbed the $2 deal mainly for Forza & Sea of Thieves on PC. My parents have an old 360, they aren't using. Is it possible to use the gamepass on a 360?

Huh that sounds interesting actually. I'll give it a try then. Thanks.

What? This a pretty obvious "Destiny 2 vanilla is trash for us now and it's all about the DLC" move from Activision Bungie. They couldn't care less for the base version at this point.

And I'm pretty sure it's also a win win for Onrush. If this didn't sold well it's a good way to get a lot of people in to this now plus they get money from Microsoft.

Since I got my Xbox One X and game pass I haven't had time to touch my PS4. Between GP and backwards comp. I've got soooo many games to revisit or play for the first time. So much value.

Oh, I totally agree, I literally shook my head when D2 was announced.

Never had game pass, and thinking about grabbing the $2 deal. Can I download these games or are they streaming only?

Man Skyforce is so addicting. I have quite the backlog yet it's Skyforce thats dominating my game time. Lately the simple Indies are capturing my attention more than the Blockbuster hits.

So I've noticed if a game pass game comes to games with gold it creates an ownership issue.

I have For Honor downloaded with Game Pass and am not able to add it to my Games with Gold collection (in case it leaves Game Pass).

I guess I could try uninstalling it but on my amazing Aussie internet the download took a week as it is. :/

For honour isn't on game pass. You sure you don't mean trial?

Just buy the game off the website though it should work that way

I didn't think that For Honor has ever been on Game Pass. Unless it's specific to Australia?

Is anyone else having troubles getting Snake Pass?

All of the other games are up but this one is still asking me to buy it.

Also worth mentioning is that Codemasters stealth added microtransactions to the game two weeks ago so they also got that revenue

I don't think Snake Pass is Live yet. Can anyone verify it's status?

Skyforce has been surprisingly addictive. I see myself beating this game. I really like how the progression works. Wonder if this model could be applied to modern 3D games. Replaying earlier missions with new upgrades and goals is a lot of fun.

That Twisted Dream game did nothing for me. Not my type of game. Didn't find the platforming to feel all that tight...especially after recently playing Ori.

Really interested in giving Aven Colony a try. I've never played a single game in its genre but I like scifi so maybe this is the one to try.

What's is your initial feedback innovation this months GP games?
