Why are people saying the guy with the laser pointed at him is okay because it hit his thumb? The guy on twitter is the other player.

I can't find anything about the guy actually pointed at. Hope he is okay.

with such a small interval between when that red dot showed on him and the first shot, i can't imagine he didn't get hit unfortunately

I live in a giant bucket.
I didn't expect to actually see the red dot.

That video was absolutely horrifying and it made my heart stop. Please don't watch it if you're not prepared.

Four dead.....freaking garbage shooter. Why? Why on a tourney of all places? Why are people so obsessed with guns in this poor excuse of a country?!

Power and fear. Sadly, our country cares more about guns than people.

America is beyond saving at this point. Rest in peace to the victims. Nobody deserves a fate like that. It's so heartbreaking.

I've had family who openly cry at news of mass shooting continue to defend gun ownership. It's just one of those things that has been ingrained into some people unfortunately.
I honestly don't think gun ownership is the issue. Other countries have legal gun ownership and do fine.

The issue is that we incredibly shitty gun regulation. Any idiot can get a gun with ease. Not just any gun, but assault style weapons. There's minimal training, licensing, follow up licensing, mental evaluations, courses, and so on.

I hate to say this, but it always felt like a matter of time before this happened at a gaming event. I worry that people will look to do this at bigger events now that this was done at a madden stream. Extremely scary, and I hope the people in hospital pull through

I really really hope that 1 source isn't true, but having watched the video it seems like it's wishful thinking.

Waiting for official statements from police and etc. and hoping for the best until then.

Why can't we just play some video games and have fun together?

Fuck this, fuck this, fuck man

Never. A school of white kids got gunned down and we as a country shrugged.

Yup. Sandy Hook was basically it. No one did shit about guns then, so no one will ever do shit about guns here. The issue is dead. People want their guns and don't care who dies in this country.

I'm not shocked, and scarily enough, I'm sort of inured to this news. Like, yeah, it is terrible, and I'm sorry that people were hurt or killed, but I feel like...oh, another public shooting, it's been a few months since the last one, yep, that happened again.

Pretty scary how normalized these things are.

Fucking cowards man, every single one of these shooters, and the people who defend guns being so easily accessible are just as bad. Seething right now, I just can't deal with this nonsense all the god damn time.

Prayers to everyone involved and their families.

But this is what happens when you have such a low standard for gun control. No normal citizen should ever be allowed to even touch such horrifying tools. And it is the foremost duty of any goverment to enforce everything needed to stop such tragedies.

I didn't notice the red dot pointed at the player in the sweater. He's just sitting there smiling playing madden. Awful.

Jesus, did they edit the video feed just as it started, or is that coincidence?

Shooter was looking for a target and you see the goddamn laser in the video, wow.

Watch politicians literally try to blame games here, not a fucking culture where everyone feels like John Woo and public violence is a day-of-the-week affair.

Yeah I'm not going to watch this. But my thoughts and heart go out to the victims. The wild west may be fun in RDR, but a real society should not allow guns everywhere. Because this is the result, young people being murdered for just playing some videogames.

Man and there was just another shooting yesterday at Florida too in Jacksonville High School. America is spineless in keeping more gun laws.

That's sorta where I'm at and it's incredibly depressing. All I can do I continue to hope next week will be better then the last.

Prayers go to the people there and their families.

Yet when I play online games the amount of Americans enthusiastically talking proudly about their guns and in the same breath using it as a means to threaten people is astoundingly high.

They think guns make them men and tough guys at that.

Sandy Hook also wasn't about banning guns. It was about regulations. Congress blocked any though.

I don't want to jinx NY, but NY has very tough gun laws, especially NYC and surrounding areas--NJ, CT.
