Lol, no. They've specifically said that and pizza deliveries were not in the game multiple times now, in fact.
I fully expect something along those lines like some kind of time trial. It might not be delivering a pizza but it could be racing to a date with MJ or anything that requires Spidey to high tail it across Manhattan as fast as possible.

Yup, some of the side activities will require you to race across the city, if I recall correctly.
Taskmaster will have you defusing multiple bombs hidden throughout the city, as an example.
I kinda hope they do have them in just as once off easter eggs
There have been hints that there will be a new game plus mode, but nothing concrete. I believe someone asked Bryan Intihar on Twitter and he said something along the lines of "wouldn't that be cool" something like that.
Looks like they cut out Harlem. Not the best look, tbh but maybe a mini-version of it is still in the game.
Was also hoping to see at least some of Queens since that's where Peter Parker is canonically from.
Maybe we'll find something in one of his backpacks! That would be fun.

my only nitpick for this game is no other marvel hero guest characters. you have avengers building, dr strange home etc but they'll never show up in game. I mean, if the game universe already acknowledge that these heroes exists. event like prison breakaway should alert Avengers at the very least.
You can't expect them to just stop eating their shawarma, can you? That'd be disrespectful!
I think the biggest concern, aside from the QTEs, are the side activities. Engaging side content is something every open world spiderman game has failed at, swinging around New York City is fun, but only for so long and repetitive side missions make the world feel like an after thought. On the other hand, the Batman games did a terrific job with this, the side missions had great self contained stories, the world was filled with puzzles - hardly any of the side content felt like busy work. I hope there are fewer gang beat up and car chase missions, and more unique and intriguing side content
Hopefully we get a Marvel games universe. You dont want insomniac to do something with a hero that another developer will change
Well we won't know for sure until the game gets reviews, but I'm encouraged by some of the previews talking about side stories that had self contained stories. And it looks like this game is broken down to side missions with stories, activities (bomb disposal, research stations, challenge rooms), random crimes, and then the main campaign. Also remember Bryan Intihar saying that there are side missions that involve side villains, so hopefully it all pans out.
Personally, I wouldn't want other developers to be limited to what Insomniac's made. If they need a different version of Spidey for their story, then go ahead. Make their own. If they specifically want to build on top of what Insomniac's done, though, then go ahead. I'd love that too.
Yeah I could do without the other heroes present entirely tbh. I get why the references are there, but it makes Spidey feel less special in his own dang game lol. I like my crossovers for special occasions and less casual. Seems like if the Raft had a breakout with a pile of supervillains, Iron Man would be there in about 2 minutes and the whole plot would get shut down. Spidey needs some room to shine.

That's much better but that's also because had the map only been within the confines of that smaller pic it would've been shockingly small. Now it seems more in line with recent open world games.
I'm not from the area but what is the best about those parts? Don't they lack high buildings?
This looks so damn great. With Divinity: Original sin 2 coming out a week before, i don't know how i'll find the time to play this :(. Will probably play it later and avoid spoilers like the plague.
The Projects, I want to swing through Brownsville, Lefrak and QueensBridge Projects. The people and atmosphere make those areas what they are. For someone from NY, Manhattan turns boring by the time your ten, if you commute to the city (manhattan) the last thing you want to do is go back into the city. I'm just saying there is more to NYC than the touristy parts.

It's Spider-Man so no. Next game might have more the city available and there's plenty of New York that's fairly squat.
Probably in one of the last chapters, Spidey fails something spectacularly and all the pedestrians save for a few believers are against him.
Sounds anime as fuck but I'm down for it.
