Haven't seen the movie... Can someone answer a question for me. At the end of one of the trailers Alfred notices a disturbance and he then looks up at the camera and says something along the lines of "I've been expecting you..."
So... Who was he talking to? Supes? Or another member? I always fantasized it would be MMH.

Movie was not great, and the more I think about it the worse it gets. Dull story, terrible villain (the whole 'Praise be to the unity' shit was cringeworthy), and the Justice League barely had any chemistry. Flash was the worst by a country mile, being criminally unfunny, to say nothing of that bizarre run.

We don't know. We have an insider on this forum (ultracal31) who confirmed that they had never seen the scene before the trailers.
It was probably, as it always seemed to be, Superman. They probably cut it to make Superman's return more impactful.
Yeah, it isn't even bold enough to hate. It's just the bare minimum required to make a movie that features the Justice League.
I think its supposed to be Green Lantern and someone else (Superman/Shazam). You hear two landings so presumably two heavyhitting fliers, but yeah it was cut from the movie
It was cut. Probably due to WB essentially forcing a 2hr run time. We will have to wait for a director's cut but superman makes the most sense imo
In this scenario with no firm director, the marketing team was probably like give us everything that's been shot, we'll do our best to sell it.
Well the movie had a set director and that trailer was released I believe before the change. The only thing that snyder didn't do was reshoots from my understanding since he left after that tragedy occurred in his family.
I fucking loved when he beat him down and just started to grind him down with only his eyes. Also first time we get to see him use his breathe which was unexpected and dope
Clearly we didn't watch the same movie. The team was the best aspect of the movie. Flash had my entire screening laughing out loud throughout (stifle your laughs people, I don't wanna miss the dialogue that follows a joke)
yeah it was awesome seeing the freeze breath. I'm disappointed with Aquaman though. Expected Superman junior mixed with Mamoa's personality. Can't wait for his solo movie though, he's probably my favourite JL character after this.
I loved what they did with him in the movie and excited to check his movie out, apparently they cut out more Atlantis out of the movie so looks like those waiting for an extended cut maybe see more of him (and everyone else since they seemed to cut a lot, thanks WB :/)
I hope in his movie he has a moment where he unleashes and finds his full potential. Have they said who the villain will be in that film?

I hate that BvS and JL take place in empty areas like that, its all due to the blowback that was MoS and how Zod and Superman destroyed buildings even tho in the comics and cartoons they would literally fly and crash into every building in sight lmao
hopefully it goes back to the city stuff in the next few movies (Aquaman aside probably for obvious reasons)
I think that they should fix the form but i just at the time thought about it as essentially him skating thru the city which is fine. Again in the Flashpoint movie or if he shows up in another one (that also displays him like this) I hope they give him a better form.

If this were a comic book it would be the prelude to the event, not the event unto itself. But it was part 1 of a planned two-parter.
I'm intrigued at how Infinity War will navigate that, as it seems to be the Avengers vs. five Steppenwolfs, as a setup for the sequel.
oh ok, I wasn't sure if it was him or Black Manta but maybe that would work better as a second part. To be honest im excited and i sure as hell didn't think i would be excited for it when they announced it. The same way I think Marvel finally knows how to do Thor well imo from the moments we saw here i think that Wan can pull it off just as well.
Im interested too since it was going to be Part 1 and Part 2 and all of a sudden they dropped that. Im not hopeful that the movies will have good villains other than maybe thanos. Marvel has just had such weak villains since the beginning.

I assume by the time JL2 comes around that GL will be a part or that's when he joins, Shazam too maybe? I dont see us getting Martian Manhunter any time soon unfortunately.

That's unheard of for a blockbuster being released months later. I think it's fair to say they love Snyder and are in the Snyder game for a long time to come.
Watched it today and it made me giddy in a way no other movie has made me in years. I think the future is bright based on the direction they're heading.
Same. Glad they've got a good feel for the character right off the bat. Keeping my fingers crossed for some badass powers unleashed moment like Thor had with Immigrant Song playing.
I have to say, I'm surprised with how much I liked Cyborg. I wasn't bothered by his design like many were (it looks worse in pictures than it was in the movie), but I had no interest in him at all. Now I'm curious to see more of him.
I've got a lot of criticisms about the climax battle scene, but one thing I do like is that they didn't resort to having everyone beat up Steppenwolf to show off their abilities. Instead it felt like they actually showed the heroes in the roles they're adapted to (in contrast to, say, Hawkeye who somehow still manages to be in line with the rest of the Avengers while arguably being the worst on the team).
Glad you enjoyed it :) that's how I felt watching Batman and superman let alone doomsday and wonder woman in BvS.
Snyder will likely stay on as producer for all of them (he's a producer for WW) with the Superman (and maybe JL) stuff being his turf.
Lmao true Hawkeye and black widow stick out so badly in those movies because of that. I also didn't have a problem with cyborg I liked how at the end of the movie when got more used to bring in that body he was able to change it to the more tradition breast plate and all that

The thing that is a bit of a letdown is that all these super hero movies basically revolve around the same 'destroy the planet' plot these days. Space aliens, demons from the past etc. .
I would've liked a more human villain better. I hadn't followed much in terms of trailers so I was expecting that the terrorists at the start of the movie would play a bigger role at least.
A human villain like the joker from the Dark Knight would actually spice things up a little after so many apocalyptic end of the world scenario's.
Gal Gadot is great as super woman and Affleck is an o.k. Batman. Although having all these super heroes team up means none of them really have enough screen time to shine in their roles.

You kinda have to have a thing that would destroy the planet or a big country for there to be a reason for the justice league or avengers to show up. It can be just oh here comes the penguin yet again! I'm kinda hoping for a brainiac movie outside of darkseid tho.

DCEU Superman could take on almost every MCU villain solo. These films are worlds apart in power levels.
Like Batman is the weakest guy here, and he's still standing after hits from WW and Superman.
Which isn't to mock Marvel. Just that they don't tend to power up villains so when the heroes beat them it means something. DCEU just goes batshit crazy.
I actually thought this movie looked pretty good. I did watch it in 3D, and even then the movie was clear in most scenes (except for the second scene of the film).
I thought it really came together well from a visual standpoint. Nothing as ugly as Batman v Superman's final fight scene.
I'm talking more from a character perspective. The Black Order didn't have much to work with in the comic and I don't see Marvel expanding on them other than just being Thanos' groupies.
It's a shame because their Infinity stuff was great. But it had time to breathe.

The movie probably ends with Thanos putting on the ganutlet and snapping his fingers. Infinity Ganutlet or whatever they title Avengers 4 will definitely be a direct continuation.

The only thing they did was drop the Part 1/Part 2 moniker. Avengers 4 is a direct sequel and is coming only one year later.
I think IW1 is gonna focus on Thanos and crew so we may see The Black Order be expanded on after all. Hard to say with no official trailer released yet.
