Big 10 just needs to take the year off. I know people working the Michigan State legal cases and they said they were having trouble just reading some of the emails. Even my Illini had a shady ass coach before Smith

A finebaum caller brought on a point, that this WR Coach worked under Tom Herman for a few years. Tom Herman could very well have known. Why is he remaining quiet? Where was he?

(not saying Texas should fire him, but more saying OSUn shouldn't attempt to hire him, to simply try to avoid any connections to this case going forward)

So it looks like the entire coaching staff and their wives knew. So if Urban Meyer plays the "I wasn't aware" card, then that means he'll have to throw his staff and his wife under the bus. And in the unlikely scenario where his entire staff conspired to keep this a secret from him, wouldn't that be a fireable offense? Will be interesting to see the weaseling that goes on in the days ahead. Also is there no thread on this in off topic?

One was finally made after a few hours.

So the silence was the lawyers figuring out if this would count as cause. 99% chance the investigation's conclusion has already been written, now we wait for a plausible amount of time.

If Urban knew how the hell did Herman not know...?

I'm sure they all did....

Thing is, Herman wasn't the head dog at tOSU. Yes, he should have been a whistleblower if he knew, but if he was told by his boss (Urban Meyer) to stay silent, then its hard to fault Herman too much. Urban had the power to fire him, Herman did not.

He's not going anywhere.

But his wife will likely be canned. Probably didn't realize that there's a duty to report as a professor where there isn't one as a Coach's Wife.

For lovers
Yeah, with that news, definitely putting up a new OT to get us through the rest of the offseason. Will go up after the podcast.

This is that kind of investigation where they A figure out if there is cause and if it's not clear they will negotiate a deal to have the Meyer's leave OSU and not 'tarnish' the school's 'sterling reputation'

Side note. Co-worker brought his son to visit Osu last week, he hadn't really been around a big school campus and couldn't stop remarking on what a soulless business machine the school had become.

So now that the realm of firing Meyer is more likely than unlikely, I've seen some people giving names to replace him. I see a lot of Tom Herman's going around, but I'd say he's pretty safe at Texas for at least another year, plus the money at Texas is better if he has success. The one that I see pop up that worries me is Matt Campbell. Ohio State and Notre Dame are the programs he ultimately wants to coach for, he's an up and coming coach, and it's easily a step up from Iowa State. I mean, it would be the typical nut punch our fans should be used to by now, but it would still sting.

It's OSU. They'll be fine.....after this season.

This season though? Probably enough talent for at least 8 win in the B10

If Matt Campbell ended up at anOSU I'd be willing to move the chuckeyes up to tolerable.

I feel like he is a legit coach and from what interviews I read/saw seems like a good guy.

Just such a ridiculous way to disgrace yourself and your legacy. Keeping on a guy who you knew beat his wife because of his family. Just a completely replaceable position coach.

So basically nothing they do will be acceptable to you?
I'm not sure where you got that. I want the dude gone. I even follow it up that I feel Matt Campbell would be the kind of hire that would be great for the school, and in my personal opinion it would raise the reutation of the program.

In that quote I was more trying to poke fun at the sanctimonious bs a lot of schools like to throw around in these situations. On top of that I was saying he gone no matter what. They're just trying to figure out how to do it and not harm the program.
