It's really too bad you can't sell your ship for the trade-in price and then buy that one. An even swap seems like a loss but I'd do that exchange in a heartbeat regardless. I still regret swapping to the ship I have that I've been repairing for too long now.I think we have a winner!

Is there any way to travel back to a planet I visited after joining a friend's game if I only know it's name? It was a gorgeous planet and I want to make it my home, but it's not listed as a discovery in either of my two saves so it must have been visited by me in my friend's Creative Mode game, which I deleted from my list after we finished playing. I think I done goofed :(

Yeah you lose the slots with an exotic but gain lots of bonuses. Good choice.
Looking for a way to make ridiculously easy cash. Been playing for almost 10 hours (at my own admittedly slow pace) but I have yet to stumble upon any riches as I have seen some posting about. Still only have my starting ship and Multi-tool because of it actually.
Be on the lookout for ruins if you haven't already, the items buried underneath them are sometimes worth millions. Crashed freighters are no slouches either.
Can't find a cheat engine that allows for a specific amount of units to be added. Really frustrated right now.

I found some ruins once, but I somehow didn't think to check underground. Is that related in any way to the "ancient key" or something that I found?
So I've bought 2 S class mining beam mods. Do I put them next to each other to stack the benefits?

Yeah, there are at least 3 of those buried underground or sitting around the ruin as well as a buried chest that they open. People have discovered items worth anywhere from 100k to 17 million.
Build 4 base walls around the each set of eggs then jetpack into them. The monsters shouldn't attack you.

You will lose it and have to repurchase the upgrade. The upgrades tech like that is a one time use. The base technology is a blueprint that can be rebuilt.
I have one installed as well and as far as I can tell it ain't doin' shit. Gotta be glitched.

No i found out, you dont even need the blueprint, once you got Cadium from red star system, the blueprint automatically unlock for emeril, probably same thing will happen for blue star system
They should really make it so you can move your technology slots around, or at least be able to break them down for what they cost to make so you can stack them properly for bonuses. That seems like a huge oversight, and if not a terrible gameplay mechanic.

Yeah I don't know if I'll ever finish it. I play it in small spurts myself, can't really do long stretches like I have with NMS and other recent games. But that's not knocking TW3 in any way, just prefer to really take my time.
Found my first crashed ship. Seems like a minor upgrade. I clicked buy and it seems I now own two ships. I guess if I take off in the crashed one my old one will be stuck on the planet?

It's working just not nearly the range before, with out it you can only be 53u away to send and receive. With it installed you get 153u. Very pitiful compared to before.
I wonder when I'm gonna get out of this cloud...
One of my favourite new features now is that storms are brutal even when you fly.
The update is awesome but player count may drop quickly if Hello Games doesn't get the major bugs and crashes fixed soon. Yes, I know they are quickly releasing patches but the game has so many issues that it could take weeks to fix the majority of them.

There will be more keys around any new ruin you find. If you find a ruin or plaque that asks you a question involving language or history, choose the history option and it will send you to another ruin with the keys and chest.
If you added it to your collection you can summon either ship from the drop down menu.
Finally got one of those multi million things from the ruins right after getting a super cheap S class ship

I already completed that quest last year and never got any Glyph. All 15 glyphs i got was from talking to travelers and go to they graves.
Did they released some patch to be able to get them in the quest? I think i can follow the Atlas Path again, will see if i can get it that way. I want to make my home planet and base near the center anyway.

I built one yesterday and did some tests, before building it on my ship I couldn't transfer anything when I'm outside of a 52-54u radius. It also greyed the ship and said "ship out of reach" or something like that.
Once I built it I could transfer things from far away, it still greys the ship but the message in red says something like "material transfer enabled".
Did you try it or just looked if the ship was greyed ?
Note : I'm on PC with the latest experimental build.
