Expected, but nice to have confirmation so early.AMC has already renewed Better Call Saul for a fifth season, a week before season 4 premieres.
Is that for Patriot season 3? Cause wasn't it already filming for season 2?
It's back!Deutschland 86 (Season 2 premiere; 10 episodes) Thursday, October 25th at 12a ET / 11p C

Amazon's behind this now and the episodes will release October 19th on Prime Video. 4K HDR too, this time. :)Since I almost missed this, I'm guessing others might have as well:

It's back!
No, that's through Fox, and along with Ratched (which might be premiering first, dunno) predates his Netflix deal.Murphy's first project for Netflix is "The Politician", and I believe that should be in principal right now or at least close to it.
I think Amazon only has it for Germany? (The first season was also a co-pro) That was the latest word on it from VarietyAmazon's behind this now and the episodes will release October 19th on Prime Video. 4K HDR too, this time. :)
Amazon has distribution rights for Germany, and Sundance TV will distribute the "Deutschland '86" in the U.S. "Deutschland '83" aired on Sundance in the U.S.
Hmmm, it'd be kind of odd that they're bankrolling this, at least in some part, and don't have the rights to show it outside of Germany, where D83's ratings on linear TV were pretty poor to begin with. Usually these Prime Originals are available worldwide day and date but I haven't found anything to dispute what Variety posted.I think Amazon only has it for Germany? What does this even mean. Are they making a universe of TV shows in different languages? Am I going to have to watch a German show, a Japanese show, and a Brazillian show before the big Global team up?

Interesting that they didn't announce it as the final season - might Better Call Saul run for more seasons than Breaking Bad? :O
I have yet to get the feeling that they need to start wrapping things up during the first three seasons so as long as they keep it up I'm fine with it running longer than Breaking Bad.
Yeah it is. Season 2 is filmed. Amazon has still not given an air date for it, strangely. Rumored to be November, you would think they'd announce it today. Is that for Patriot season 3? Cause wasn't it already filming for season 2?
The five year plan was something Gilligan talked about a long time ago, and recently he's been more open to continuing the series beyond that. He continually notes that it's not his show any more (with pride!) and I don't think he or Peter Gould has a problem with doing a few more seasons if they have the material. They're so good at what they do, that I don't see why not. I don't know if it's my favorite show (it's in the conversation, certainly), but you can make a damn good argument that it's the best crafted show airing these days.Interesting that they didn't announce it as the final season - might Better Call Saul run for more seasons than Breaking Bad? :O
Better get cracking on Duolingo! What does this even mean. Are they making a universe of TV shows in different languages? Am I going to have to watch a German show, a Japanese show, and a Brazillian show before the big Global team up?
seriously. I don't think there's a more well thought out and deliberate show on TV. I could watch 5 seasons of lawn mowing if they did it. Vince and Co just manage to make the mundane so god damn interesting (not that all the show is mundane but I feel it really shines in it's human relationships vs the more "exciting" stuff)They're so good at what they do, that I don't see why not. so odd. Wasn't there like two or more years between the first season airing and second season renewal? I suppose I should just be grateful such a great show is coming back at all. I cant imagine it does big numbers, I don't think I've ever met someone IRL who's even heard of the show. Which is criminal I might add. It's delightfulYeah it is. Season 2 is filmed. No, it's just that the first episode was filmed and shown years before the first season due to Amazon's weird pilot method. The first season and renewal was only last year.so odd. Wasn't there like two or more years between the first season airing and second season renewal?
So I see that the runaways will be on freeform this week. Anybody know if they are airing the whole season or just one episode?

The producers behind two popular Netflix overseas drama series, the British The Crown and the Spanish La Casa de Papel (aka Money Heist), have teamed for a new show, White Lines, which has received a series order by the Internet network.
Written by La Casa de Papel creator Alex Pina, who will serve as showrunner, in White Lines, when the body of a legendary Manchester DJ is discovered twenty years after his mysterious disappearance from Ibiza, his sister returns to the beautiful Spanish island to find out what happened. Her investigation will lead her through a thrilling world of dance music, super yachts, lies and cover-ups, forcing her to confront the darker sides of her own character in a place where people live life on the edge.
Netflix has given the green light to Madam C.J. Walker, an eight-episode limited series starring and executive produced by Oscar winner Octavia Spencer and executive produced by LeBron James. The announcement was made by VP original programming Cindy Holland during Netflix's TCA executive session.
Janine Sherman Barrois and Elle Johnson are set as showrunners on the Zero Gravity-produced series about the legendary African American entrepreneur and philanthropist, with Kasi Lemmons (Eve's Bayou, Talk to Me) on board to direct the first episode.
Written by Nicole Asher based on the book On Her Own Ground by A'Lelia Bundles, Madam C.J. Walker tells the untold and highly irreverent story of black hair care pioneer and mogul Madam C.J. Walker and how she overcame hostile turn-of-the-century America, epic rivalries, tumultuous marriages and some trifling family to become America's first black, self-made female millionaire.
Just in case there are some big Tony Danza or Josh Groban fans in the audience.
Yeah it looks like your basic run of the mill cop show.
Is Ozark worth watching?
Personally it's one of my favorite Netflix shows. It's not without it's faults and it drags in an episode or two but the acting is fantastic and the atmosphere is fantastic. Plus it's got Peter Mullan as a psycho hillbilly and he's always awesomeIt's not going to be something you can't stop watching, but I thought it had compelling characters and a good story, if not great. I'm excited to jump in at the end of the month.
HBO has picked up to series its drama pilot Euphoria, a teen drama starring Zendaya and written by The Wizard of Lies scribe Sam Levinson, with Drake and Future the Prince joining as executive producers.
Euphoria, based on the Israeli series of the same name from HOT, follows a group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship. Zendaya leads the cast that also includes Storm Reid, Maude Apatow, Brian "Astro" Bradley, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Hunter Schafer and Sydney Sweeney.
Levinson will write all episodes of the series and will executive produce alongside Drake, Future the Prince, Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin (the trio who created the original Israeli series), Tmira Yardeni, Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokadi and Gary Lennon. Augustine Frizzell directed the pilot and co-executive produces. A24 Television is producing.
Showtime has given a formal pilot order to hourlong drama Queen Fur, from writer Eileen Myers (Masters of Sex), with Lily Mae Harrington (Some Freaks) set to star.
Created, written and executive produced by Myers, Queen Fur is set in a small town in Central Florida – a place where beauty pageants, gun culture, Cuban revolutionaries and Southern hospitality co-exist and collide. And at the center of it all is Macy Dunleavy (Harrington) – a curvy, sexy, unapologetic high school dropout who is finding her womanhood and is ready to seize a big opportunity.
Sian Heder (Orange Is the New Black) will direct the pilot. Deb Spera (Army Wives) will serve as an executive producer with Myers. Showtime and Sony Pictures TV, where Myers is under an overall deal, are co-producing. Queen Fur has been in development at Showtime since 2017 when Myers, Spera and Sony TV sold the project to the pay cable network in a premium deal.
From the AV Club's article:As Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer prepare to resume their cat-and-mouse game in the second season of BBC America hit "Killing Eve," Emerald Fennell is taking over from Phoebe Waller-Bridge as lead writer on the show, and two women have joined the directing team.
Waller-Bridge is in demand as a writer and actor, with her breakout hit "Fleabag" also entering its sophomore season. She landed an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series for "Killing Eve." She will remain actively involved as executive producer on the new season, which has started shooting in Europe.
Lead writing duty now goes to writer-actor Fennell, who will serve as an executive producer and is best-known for her role in the BBC and PBS series "Call the Midwife." Waller-Bridge brought Fennell on board, and was also instrumental in attaching two new directors to the series, Lisa Bruhlmann ("Blue My Mind") and Francesca Gregorini ("Electric Dreams"). Damon Thomas returns as a director and executive producer.
That woman is Emerald Fennell, best known internationally for her roles as Nurse Patsy Mount on Call The Midwife and as Elsa in 2015's The Danish Girl. Fennell is also a published novelist who has written three children's books and one darkly comedic YA thriller called Monsters, which seems to have seriously fucked up some of the people who reviewed it on Amazon. Joining Fennell on the Killing Eve team are two new directors: Lisa Brühlmann, a Swiss newcomer whose "Raw but with mermaids" film Blue My Mind made its international premiere at last year's Fantastic Fest, and Francesca Gregorini, an Italian-American director who helmed the "Human Is" episode of Amazon's Black Mirror competitor Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams.
:(
WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME, SAM.
So, I would guess that since the writers' room opened up after the end of Season 3, scripts have been written. Sam just needs to step in and direct them which makes this a late summer-early fall 2019 show then.
Damn you, Sam.
Sam Esmail, the creator, head writer, and director of every episode of "Mr. Robot" S2 onwards.
Looks dreary as fuck, as expected I guess lol. I really liked S1, flaws and all. The girl was fantastic. Lots of potentially cool stuff in the next few months, this, Disenchanted, Maniac, Castlevania, Sabrina, more Toys That Made Us also.

During Fox's upfront press call in May, Fox TV Group chairman and CEO Dana Walden revealed that former 24 executive showrunner Howard Gordon is working with 24 co-creators Joel Surnow and Bob Cochran on a possible new incarnation of the real-time drama. Walden would not elaborate on what the new premise is, but noted that "we are very excited about where the show would go."
I have learned that where the potential new installment would go is the past. I hear the new 24 series, now in active development at 20th TV and Imagine TV, will serve as a prequel to the original 2001 series. Written by Gordon, Cochran and Surnow, it is said to be in the vein of the original and will trace the origin story of CTU agent Jack Bauer, played by Kiefer Sutherland on 24 for eight seasons and on followup limited series 24: Live Another Day.
Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment has optioned Zack Kaplan's new Top Cow comic Eclipse for series development.
Eclipse, from creator Kaplan with art by Giovanni Tampano, is set to be available in stores Wednesday. After a solar flare drives the human population underground, daytime surface conditions are monitored by workers like David Baxter, equipped with special suits that protect them from the sun's deadly radiation. Baxter's solitary patrol of the empty cityscape is interrupted when he finds the scorched remains of someone left outside to burn – now, he must solve the murder himself.
