I love kill sounds in FPS games. They make kills more satisfying. Best examples are Bad Company 2 and Killzone. I hate the Overwatch kill sound tho.
This will always be a favorite of mine. The jingle has this intriguing short but sweet mysterious appeal to it, and it made me excited every time I started up the game to see what amazing thing would happen next.
I really liked that one because it sounded like the symphony is doing its last bit of warm up and sound check up before the show starts

Maybe if I had any nostalgia whatsoever for the PS1, this would have some impact on me. As it stands, it does not. The Dreamcast one absolutely does, but of course I was playing that in 1999. Gooooooood times.

The impact sounds from Streets Of Rage 2 are some of the most satisfying ever.
If i rememebr correctly, I watched the soudn designer of it saying that it means it goes from the sea to the sky and something like that. It has a whole philossophy behind it.
That's not the sound when Yoshi step jumps on someone.
Actually, all of yoshi sounds are amazing in that game. Hatching from the egg, even when he gets hit and runs away

PS1 boot up was and still is amazing but the soothing ambience of the PS2 home menu bests it. I recently purchased the PS2 "legacy" home menu skin on PS4 just so I could hear its lovely sounds and see the animated cubes and the crystal clock regularly again.
I remember booting up Tekken with my dad on the original PlayStation and when we saw this bootscreen it felt like the future. So much more advanced to what we were used to!
