Literally Paul Dini's Wonder Woman
I don't think anyone really watched it live, doing a surprise drop and giving a week's notice isn't necessary the best way to get eyeballs
Because AT&T's Audience network has been a smash hit.Charter Communications continues to ramp up the original scripted series slate for its Spectrum cable systems. I have learned that the company is in advanced negotiations with Lionsgate Television for a two-season order to anthology series Manhunt. I hear the first of the two 10-episode seasons would chronicle the manhunt for domestic terrorist Eric Rudolph, known as the Olympic Park Bomber. It will be shepherded by the core creative team behind Manhunt: Unabomber, led by executive producer John Goldwyn and writer/executive producer Andrew Sodroski.
Baron Cohen's controversy-courting comedy contributed to the biggest day of sign-ups for the service's streaming offering (as well as the third-biggest sign-up day since the network began offering a direct-to-consumer option)

Retailing giant Walmart is mulling a move into the subscription VOD business — to take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, according to a published report.
According to a report by The Information, citing anonymous sources, Walmart is contemplating introducing a streaming-video product with price point of $8 per month as well as launching a free, ad-supported video service.
Walmart reps didn't respond to a request for comment.
Execs for Walmart see an opportunity to undercut Netflix and Amazon Prime Video with the $8 price point, according to The Information. (Netflix's standard HD plan is currently $10.99 monthly.) But the report had no details on what kind of TV shows, movies or other programming might be available in a Walmart SVOD service.
Netflix and Amazon "are seen as more popular with people on the East and West Coasts of the U.S.," according to a source cited by The Information. Walmart believes there's an opportunity to roll out a cheaper service for consumers "in the middle of America," per the report.
Walmart already has its foot in the digital-entertainment door. In 2010, it acquired movie-streaming service Vudu, which offers a collection of several thousand titles to buy or rent, including in Ultra HD and Vudu's proprietary HDX format. Two years ago, Vudu launched a free streaming service, "Movies On Us," which is ad-supported.
Walmart may decide to not go forward with the launch of a streaming service, The Information report added.
Honestly think a lot of people didn't know it was on this sunday. They talked about the interviews and stuff but not much on when it was airing. The way it was framed I thought it was later this year or next
It's weird that Unreal went from some crazy smash hit to basically dying on Hulu after a big dump of episodes... I suppose the final shot is apropos.
Creepshow is coming to AMC Networks' Shudder. The premium streaming service has given the green light to a Creepshow TV series, based on the iconic anthology film written by Stephen King and directed by George Romero, for premiere in 2019. The Walking Dead helmer Greg Nicotero is attached to direct, executive produce and oversee the show's creative elements.
The 1982 film, with stars such as Hal Holbrook, Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson and Adrienne Barbeau, spawned two sequel films and a spin-off comic.
Producers say the new Creepshow series will fulfill the promise of the original film's tagline "The Most Fun You'll Ever Have Being Scared." Each episode of the anthology series will tell original fun and scary stories, and will be helmed by a different director, with Nicotero directing the first episode and his Oscar- and multiple Emmy-winning company KNB EFX Group Inc. handling the creature and make-up fx.
Zack Kaplan's The Lost City Explorers is headed to the small screen. AfterShock Comics, in partnership with Kaplan, is teaming with Universal Television to develop a series adaptation of the sci-fi comic.
Written by Kaplan, with art by Alvaro Sarraseca and colors from Dee Cunniffe, The Lost City Explorers is focused on a group of teens who become underground urban explorers after a mysterious expedition leads to the disappearance of one of their fathers. Following his tracks on a coming-of-age journey through subterranean tunnels, they ultimately find the holy grail of lost cities, Atlantis, buried right under New York City.
The CW has the largest collection of beautiful, generic people on the planet. They should not be granted such a power.Lol, CW+nudity would be the best television network of all time.
Salmon ladder.
I had no idea BOTH Michael Pena and Diego Luna would be in Narcos: Mexico? And it'll move to Mexico. Hmm, this now has me seriously interested. Are the 3 first seasons worth anything?
First images btw.
How could they possibly compete with global streaming and retail giants like Netflix and Amazon. Even just focussing on the US they would have a tough time with just those two, discounting Hulu and Disney. What will they stream, daytime soaps? As long as they're willing to actually compete (no Seeso level shit), then sure why not?

Probably my favorite Netflix series. Or at least top 3I had no idea BOTH Michael Pena and Diego Luna would be in Narcos: Mexico? And it'll move to Mexico. Hmm, this now has me seriously interested. Are the 3 first seasons worth anything?

They would make new shows, presumably. According to that article, they're trying to appeal to middle america with a lower price point, so I assume their programming would also reflect that - something that could help differentiate them from their competition.
Starting up with new shows seems basically impossible to me. They would need to have something big enough to get people to subscribe, and AT LAUNCH they would need to have enough content to keep people happy to keep paying. And these are the same people who are constantly complaining there is nothing to watch on Netflix.
I mean, Vudu is a iTunes or Google Movies competitor. Just another place to buy or "rent" movies and TV Shows. So that seems separate from making a Netflix competitor, I'd assume those deals won't transfer. The article points out that Walmart acquired Vudu in 2010, though I'm not sure how significant of a catalog it is.
First image of Helena Bonham-Carter and Ben Daniels in "The Crown";
Heh, I'm sure all the rights holders would be totally on board :DMaybe they could make all Vudu content free to subscribers. That would instantly give them a better back catalog than any of the other streamers.

I'm into this.Netflix has announced a new French original scripted series toplining megastar Omar Sy ("The Intouchables") as Arsene Lupin, the gentleman burglar whose adventures in turn-of-the century Paris are a staple of European pop culture.
The new Netflix series, to be produced by Gaumont Television, will be a "contemporary adaptation" of the popular novels that were written by Maurice Leblanc, who created the Lupin character in 1905, according to a statement. Since then, Leblanc's books have spawned many TV series and movies, including a silent film in 1917 by Australian director Paul Scardon, but the Netflix adaptation will be the first to star a black actor as the titular gentleman thief.

Created and written by Issacharoff, Raz, Prestwich and Yorkin, Hit and Run centers on a happily married man whose life is turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident.
AfterShock Comics is teaming with Fox 21 TV Studios and producer Warren Littlefield (Fargo, The Handmaid's Tale) on an adaptation of Adam Glass' (Supernatural, The Chi) sci-fi horror series The Normals for television.
Created and written by Glass, The Normals is centered around one man who finds out his perfect life and family may all be an illusion, setting him on a crusade to save what he believes is real and loves with all his being, while having to save the world in the process as forces seek to destroy him.

After watching the Titans trailer I would like to revise this statement. I no longer believe what I previously said.

Created by Schaefer and Hyams who will serve as co-showrunners, Black Summer stars King as a mother, torn from her daughter, who embarks upon a harrowing journey, stopping at nothing to find her.
