Take control of a superhero team with turn based combat similar to Xcom. Beginning in the year 1929, you start with an empty plot of land and a small amount of money to build your base/hall of justice. This will attract people who you will turn into superheroes. Your initial heroes will be low powered street vigilantes. As the game progresses, you can get buildings/rooms that will train your heroes to have new skills and powers. Then the missions will come in. If you accept a mission, you will go to that location and the engine switches to a more Xcom/rpg interface. At times there will be random events where a character may die or develop an actual super power. The more successful you are, the faster your heroes improve and the more money you get for your base. There will be an overall story arc through out the game however you will not have just one set of heroes because they will grow, age and retire/die. (for the most part) Throughout your campaign, you might get special items, such as alien high tech armor that can be used from hero generation to hero generation. While it has tycoon elements (base building, training heroes, managing resources for research), the focus of the game will be the story (with an end slightly past the current age) and the combat.

A turn-based bowser rpg in which his minions are the party characters.

Every unit would have very low stats but he would have a whole group to represent each party member. So for example a goomba would have 1HP but if your goomba member had 30HP, then there would be 30 goombas. If a koopa had 2 defense, then 30 koopas would have 60 dfp.

the more minions you recruited the higher stats that unit would have. Of course with bowser leveling up traditionally and having the highest stats.

A gory and splattery third person shooter in the style of Jet Force Gemini but modernized in terms of playability. The setting: a colorful alien miniature world like in "A simple story" with huge bug and alien creatues you can attack and shoot limbs off. The juicy body dismemberment is important.

Now combine that with an a mix of generated and constructed open world roguelike mayhem in the style of Caves of Qud...

I loved shooting tribal families with a rocket launcher in JFG, what's wrong with me? Felt satisfying, though.

Stardew but with pro wrestling. Train and get to know fellow wrestlers during the weekdays, have night time matches using moves you've learned and get graded on your match quality throughout the week. Level up from scrub to the legend who puts over the new generation over several years.

a 1v1 Ace Attorney style game that's sort of like a mystery click game where you examine the same places as your opponent to look for clues to then use against them. Give players only a few minutes to look for clues, then present their case. Clues have a secret amount of points that must be topped to beat the other opponent, maybe 3-4 turns/days and awarding the winner based on total points. Would work like Words with Friends in that you could play 5 mins against someone and then stop and wait for them to take their turn

E. VR AIRLINE SIMULATOR. It's like Surgeon Simulator but for airliners. You can fly the plane, be an airhostess, and grow the airline from small time to international.

F. Adar.io-style Planet Eater VR game. Self-explanatory. You are like Galactus, you eat planets and grow. Other players can eat you if they're bigger than you.

G. Exercise Bike VR Game.

H. "The Really Real Driving Simulator"
. Surgeon simulator style VR game with procedurally generated cities and road where you drive around like you're commuting to work, complete with traffic jams and accidents and fire fighters and cops.

NGL I'm going to suggest the Airline sim at our next game jam.

I pitched this game in the old country, but here's the short version.

Basically it's Shadow of Mordor set in the Cthulhu mythos. You create a character and you're free to explore the town of Arkham in the 1930's. The Nemesis system will be modified to create one single cosmic horror for the player to hunt down. Depending on what sort of creature you get, there will be different requirements to kill it, different quests, different encounters etc. Some players will have to use magic, other will have to do various quests to gain access to occult items that will banish them, and so on. Cultists and other lesser entities would take up the gist of the main gameplay loop with combat / exploration and stealth being huge parts of it. For example, if you let too many cultists roam around, they'll try to summon your Nemesis horror more often.

The game will be completely open ended, with most of the story being told through well developed side quests that all have common themes. Also, some sort of Soulsborne multiplayer would be included. Banishing your horror could lead it to invading another player's world.

A sanity meter would also play a huge part, similar to the Insight system in BB, but with a bigger risk/reward element.

So yeah, nemesis system with lovecraftian horrors.

Megaman zero: Made by Platinum games. Just think of how cool it would look with their awesome battle system and being able to see the world and double jump all over the place in 3D. And your little CyberElf following you in real time.

Exploring, getting new power ups?! Boss fights!?!?? The voice acting?!? Free roaming around the resistance underground base?!? Back tracking?!?? Wew!

This sounds like a GotG contender if done properly.

I don't think I grasp how the custom Eldritch abomination would be implemented in practice , though.

YES!!!! Do it! ♥ It could turn to out to be very hilarious or a complete ragdoll mess.

Here are all my notes:

- VR Flight Simulator
- Surgeon Simulator style gameplay, but in VR.
- Once the plane takes off, you put it in cruise mode and take care of passengers serving food, and maintain order.
- You start with small airplane and flight distance, with few passengers, and grow from there
- You expand to big airliner (with custom name, logo, slogan, colors) where you manipulate the ticket prices with current market and see if you gain more customers, like Theme Parks games
- You act as a pilot and air hostess when in charge of the flight, possibly switching roles as desired. you can also act as an air traffic controller and ragdoll baggages if that's your shtick.
- Factors like turbulence, disgruntled passengers and more will ragdoll everything

----------------

Edit: WAIT A MIN. Your team made Surgeon Simulator!!! ♥ You're the inspiration for this game. I don't even need to tell you what to do haha!

Good luck, I believe in you! 🤞

Let me know if you need some aeronautical engineering knowledge that needs to be applied. I'll direct you to some free courses or to my brain.

REPORT.
Ideal developer: Naughty Dog

A third person game in the same style as Uncharted, but instead of a gun you have a DSLR Camera. You're a photojournalist in Middle East or South America. It's an open world game with events taking place in realtime, with a day/night cycle. You can cover any incident/mission in the city in any order, each good "Photojournalism" gets you better pay, means you can buy better gear, better transportation, and eventually better stories.

You start small, covering things like neighbourhood issues, and expanding to government issues to local protests.

Drug cartels, corruption, and civil unrest slowly consumes the city. It's your job to tell the truth, no matter the stakes.

Halfway through the game, you figure out the location of a big drug cartel. You go with your investigative journalism friend to uncover it. You both climb the fence, and you start taking photos of their activities in the mansion. Then you realized you've done fucked now as you've uncovered a serious conspiracy: the President of the country is friend with the cartel, and they're partying together. You witness a brutally beaten man dragged into the room, and the president picks up a Desert Eagle and kill him.

*Snap* you take a photo. The flash goes. They all look outside, you're in trouble.

They start shooting at you, You run out of there, your camera breaks from bullets on the way out. Your friend is killed while retreating. The entire game mood changes. You hop on a bike and run as far as you can.

They're onto you. Your only friend is a camera now, and you need to uncover the corruption one photo at a time without getting caught. You don't carry guns, but if needed be you can find it on the dead with VERY limited ammo (ideally no guns! I'm tired of shooters!)

Add photo mode to the mix, and some great way to reveal your photos on the in-game newspaper/website (complete with headlines that reflect your photo and news), and you got yourself a decent adventure.

A WWII shooter where you play the Nazis.

Before Trump, the reason that it could never be made it because you would be shooting Americans.

Now it'll never get made because it'll be used as far-right propaganda.

A AAA Naruto game with all the original VAs (Troy Baker, Yuri Lowenthal, that guy who voices Kenpachi in Bleach that voices Jiraiya in this, etc.) but it's in the structure of an Assassin's Creed/LOTR format/structure of game. It would have all the original music with RTX and everything

Parts Unknown.
A super hero sim. Where you get random powers from a random encounter. You then have to balance your hero activity with your personal life trying to pay rent and bills and keeping your job.

A Wario and Waluigi co-op platformer that is as utterly goofy as the characters and parodies the Mario equivalent games.

Each character has their own strengths that you can utilise. Wario can butt stomp the ground to daze enemies and also roll like a boulder. Waluigi can stride over larger gaps (and lay down across them to act as a bridge for Wario) and reach higher points and attacks with a tennis racquet.

If playing solo you can switch between the characters as and when necessary but with a friend you each have a character, ala Donkey Kong Country.

I'd call it Super Duper Wario Bros and it would be absolutely bananas. Levels that play right to left or bottom to top or top to bottom or even upside down. Enemies that don't behave as you expect them to. Power ups like garlic for Wario that make him temporarily invincible. Outlandish cut scenes and mini games.

I want it so bad.

That first graphics idea is pretty neat, OP.

I had an idea for a stealth/horror game.

You'd play a child trapped in a weird (maybe diesel-punk like) science facility that is getting chased by a huge and terrifying monster.

The monster hunts you based on sound and smell, and has very limited sight. It is super imposing, very fast and will one-hit kill you a la the Xeno from Alien: Isolation.

Instead of trying to find keys, codes or whatever to progress to other floors, you have to trick the monster into doing it for you. The environment would be highly destructive and have a lot of interactivity which could be used to delay or assist you in tricking the monster.

For instance, if you needed to open a locked door, you might find a beaker of liquid nitrogen (or something that freezes part of the floor) and pour it out on the tiles in front of the door. Then you could bang on it to get the monster's attention and, as it charges towards you, dive out of the way. Monster can't stop and ends up smashing through the door, creating an opening.

So, through a combination of intuitive use of the environment and understanding the monster's behaviour, you would progress through different floors of the facility. There wouldn't be one set way to get to the next level, it would be more like smaller sandbox instances, kinda like Hitman.

Just as you get used to this, we'd introduce security forces who are there to kill you and the monster. They'd have similar AI routines to guards in MGS2 and Hitman: Contracts, where they would sweep areas. There would be different guard/unit types: automatic weapons, flame weapons, sensor units - all that jazz.

The player would now have to use the monster to best security, while also having to trick it into helping you progress. The monster is effectively indestructible, but security teams can route or stun it, so you'd need to be fairly clever about it while also making sure neither of them get you.

Big twist would be that the monster is a psychic projection created by the girl, hence why she's in the facility.

Why does it try to kill her? I dunno. Self-esteem issues?

Story driven 3D linear Castlevania set in the current era.. Game is divided between 3D platforming and exploration phases with Castlevania 64 inspired battle system (symplistic 1-hit battle system with weak enemies that don't slow the pace too much) and fighting setpieces with a DMC/Bayonetta-esque fighting system.

It has 3 characters you can change to in real time having each one of them unique abilities. Story takes the group through europe like in Bloodlines as they gather allies for the final battle.

Pokémon Ultimate: All the old regions, all the old removed features (phone, contests), all the new features, companion Pokemon, companion characters, updated graphics, a more mature plotline, a non-silent protagonist, etc. in a mainline Pokemon game. No janky side series gameplay.

This would be an investment in creating a game changing product and the amount of money they're making off of instead creating games like 7 and 8 make it pretty apparent that there is insufficient financial justification for anything like this to ever be made. It would probably be irresponsible of them to try, but I definitely spend a lot of time imagining what it would be like if they did it anyway.

Heartbreak, but no hard feelings that this one isn't on the horizon.

Battle Network: I would love to have a Battle Network game where you can choose one of the main characters as your protagonist and play through each of their game length routes with a few special abilities and chips for each character.

The World: It's just The World from .hack, exactly as they did it in the game and anime.

An open-world underwater ghost pirate game where you have to manage your ship, resources and crew. Something along the aesthetic of Bilgewater from League of Legends. I can just imagine sailing with your ghost crew along sunken ship wrecks, forgotten ruins and eldritch abominations, all the while surfacing from time to time to fight the living in skirmishes on the open sea.

A medieval rpg like kingdom come, but where players are also smithing, king, farmer, vendors, etc.
