What was your first Resident Evil game?

I remember liking CV and 0 well enough at the time. RE4 remains one of my favourite games ever and I thought 5 was an enjoyable sequel but a bit underwhelming. I really wanted to like 6, but it's pretty poor. And 7 just wasn't for me.

I beat it in one sitting when I was 10 years old and it took 14 hours on a Saturday.
Absolutely amazing experience.

The original, rented from Blockbuster, had to really go at it with the CD cleaner stuff and turn the PSX on it's side and upside down. Bought a copy pretty soon afterwards, big box mode before Sony lost their nerve and switched to jewel cases.

If memory serves, the order I have played Resident Evil games is the following:

Resident Evil: Revelations 2
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition
Resident Evil 2 (2019)

I might be mixing up the order for the first two. It has been a while.

I played some Resident Evil 4 on my buddies GameCube, but I think we just did the hoard mode or whatever that was called in RE4. The first game I properly played through was RE2: Remake and it's legit one of the best games ever.
