The link includes the full schedule. Most of the programs aren't giving specifics on what they're showing besides "updates on the latest games". I did want to highlight Xbox though since the tone is different from last year (where they said not to get hopes up as the show was mostly just Flight Sinulator & Minecraft). So it sounds like we might actually see some ports and such this time (will still likely be a presentation that non-Xbox/Gamepass subscribers probably won't care about though).

As for the rest, things have been pretty quiet for most as far as Japanese Content output is concerned. While we're still feeling the impacts of covid, I'd imagine this TGS will have a bit more from everyone partaking compared to 2020 even if only by a little bit.

Capcom specifically has to show something going off investor reports as they're concerned about the current empty early 2022. They actually have RE merch for the show so they'll likely show REverse at minimum.

Ah! So this is where Persona 5 finally comes to Xbox and PC. šŸ¤£

Wonder what Capcom will show. Their only announced game is Pragmata right? Or will they focus on RE Verse?

Definitely not expecting FF XVI, but I'm interested in the S-E Presents, especially after such a badly received one.

Id expect Capcom to probably show stuff from already announced games over showing brand new stuff. Not to say they wont show new stuff, just not to get hopes up (it could be E3 all over again lol)

Iirc, Xbox last year was some Scarlet Nexus footage, Samurai Showdown port and then 40 minutes or so of their E3 trailers again.

Its possible, but is TGS usually a place for new game reveals?

Feels like if that is indeed a Switch exclusive itd be at a Nintendo Direct.

There's been some new game reveals at TGS but Capcom hasn't really done that recently with their last one being the AA Trilogy HD. Even Megaman 11 and Monster Hunter Rise which people were expecting to be announced at TGS were either announced at separate events before or after it.

Also like you said if it's Switch exclusive and I imagine it would be shown off at a Nintendo Direct(if there is one this month) rather than TGS.

....that being said I wouldn't mind more info in regards to RE Village DLC, ReVerse and of course see if G Rank Expansion for MHR is announced.

Always loved the promotional artwork ā€” and this one does not disappoint. The event will, though.

Dont expect much from capcom. Probably mostly monster hunter related stuff and some info about the resident evil 8 dlc. They havent reveal anything new at tgs for a while.

No Sony or Nintendo in the official program makes me sad. And it's ironic not to see them and Xbox to be there, being this company American and the first two being Japanese.

About Atlus, I expect another SMT V trailer, and perhaps the announcement of one of the first anniversary projects of Persona, who knows if another spin-off or a port. However, I wouldn't expect much, as they are giving all their best for marketing SMT V right now.

I wonder if there is a chance that From Software brings something. Iirc they had a Tokyo Game Show trailer to some of their previous games.

Nintendo hasn't taken part in TGS(in a public manner) since 2005. They've always done their own thing.

There's probably going to be a September Direct happening, and Project Triangle Strategy being featured with then a presence at TGS wouldn't surprise me at all.

Yeah, it's listed as part of SE's TGS preliminary schedule so the info should be publicly known pretty swiftly (if it isn't already). Definitely hoping it pops up at the (probable) September Direct, yes!

Project Triangle Strategy is published by Nintendo in Western markets; thus, tif the game is already in Square's TGS schedule it's destined to appear in a Direct.

Also yeah, this would be the softest confirmation of a September Direct ever lol

I would temper your expectations on that front.

Anything Persona related will be announced this month at the start of their 25th anniversary event. All signs point towards their announcement this month being a Persona 4 Golden console port and that's probably it for the first announcement.

Anything Sega/Atlus shows up for during October will be to push SMTV which is coming out the month after.

Square Enix has Guardians of the Galaxy launching the same month that TGS is happening. Not a snowball's chance in hell that we see anything related to Final Fantasy when we are that close to GOTG release date.

Curious about Xbox and somewhat surprised at Sony's absence (although I wasn't expecting much from them and, I guess, they could always be announced later on).

Don't have high hopes for this, as TGS has kinda been losing steam for a while (although I remember liking some stuff from recent times) and COVID's effects are still felt.
We'll be seeing more from Project Triangle Strategy here, fyi
Even if I think they're still going a bit overboard with some of the post-processing effects, I'm very excited about that one. It's also been a good while since I last got into a game that genre, so I might grab a friend's Switch to play it. Glad to see S-E allowing games like that exist.

That's not the S-E game I want to see, though :__

At least sounds like Xbox got stuff this time around, nice. I expected xcloud to get a release date for Japan, but sounds like more then that, maybe they got a few jp games to accompany the release.

also, maybe it won't be jp only this year.

Oh, believe me, FFXVI is practically tattooed on my arm at this point. I'm so thirsty for it! I'm a big FFT/Tactics Ogre fan, though, so PTS is pretty high up there in my "non-FFXVI" hype list, haha.

Considering ArcSys is on Oct 3rd I wonder if it mean we get no new character in September, instead keeping it for Oct 3 shortly after TGS along with the 2nd half of the big patch.
Also, excited to see more KOFXV, gimme gimme.

You just can't compare to a FF mainline title, no matter how they might turn out in the end lmao. It's "only" been a year, but I'm dying to see and learn more about stuff like party members.

And yeah, I even want to try their mobile SRPG game to see what it is like; they're definitely veering towards the old Matsuno games for both of them. It shames me to say I never truly played Tactics Ogre, so that's definitely something I want to do in the near future. If only my PSP hadn't tragically died 5 years ago... šŸ˜

Rise had a big showing at TGS, it doesn't have to be limited to one or the other.
For others, Dragon's Dogma 2 was supposed to be out in under a year so that's an option, but Geoff's Game Advertisements might suit it better.

Tactics Ogre's immaculate PSP remaster not being ported even to mobile or something is such a crime. That game. That game. It is so good. And I don't presently have a reliable way of replaying it, myself! I need to pick up a Vita or something.
