Yep, things just take time. Unfortunately, patience and gamers is completely incompatible.
Insomniac went through a lot worse combined with this game, before now. They were harassed about this only being available on PS4, despite frequent honest and open explanations as to why that was. They were harassed about the fake and now debunked "downgrade" and "puddlegate" claims. They were harassed because people believed they cut content from the game to make the DLC despite them hiring new staff specifically to work on the new content. They didn't just "cave in" and release this Raimi suit because of "the final straw".
This was planned a nice sweet freebie for Christmas, and they released it as planned.

People actually think insomniac gave in? Releasing these suits requires licenses worked out behind the scenes, if they didn't said anything is probably because they were bound by contract that forbid them to talk about it, regardless this is most excellent news!
