Yupp. A 2020 reveal is looking more likely now, not that it was before. Always believed it would be announced in 2020.

Keep in mind it's new announcements. Stuff like BotW2 or Elden Ring wouldn't be counted in there. :)
speak for yourself, I mainly watch it for the reveals.
Wonder if the revived Telltale will announce something(s). Old-Telltale used to announce a shit ton of stuff a The Game Awards
indie games are getting big enough that big reveals could still happen and i mean if we a BOI reptentence shadow dropped for all consoles you bet people would be all over that.
Assuming that remakes/remasters and rumored-but-not-officially-confirmed games count as "completely unheard of/unannounced games" then this is my stab at the 10:
1. Mass Effect remasters
2. Either a new Crash or a Crash Bash remake
3. PlayDead's new game
4. WolfEye studio's game (confirmed to be there)
5. WB Montreal's Batman game
6. Bluepoint's new game (just a teaser, full reveal at Playstation event)
7. Nier remaster/remake
8. Donkey Kong remake (either 64 or DKC)
9. New Kirby
10. Moss 2

It sounds like he's trying to set realistic expectations which is more or less what he does every year if you actually follow the stuff he usually says around this time.
I don't really get this as a dig, since literally no-one here would watch it if it was just an awards show. Making it a trailer/reveal show is a way to get eyes on the awards stuff, so it's a win-win overall anyway.
What is he supposed to say? "Hell yea! We're showing off tons of major ps5/scarlett launch games!"

Maybe. While stuff about that Batman game has leaked over the years, anything about it being at this show just seems more like speculation than actual leaks.
