From what I understand that's not how it works since Adult Swim wouldn't give up the rights to it, like what happened with Metalocalypse.
It's quality shit. Not many Adult Swim shows left that aren't flash style animation.
Mike Lazzo retiring probably plays a part in that. His very expensive pet project that he let basically run wild and free for its entire run is an obvious candidate for the chopping block.

Last few seasons have been as amazing as you'd expect. Show went through a little bit of a concept reboot as the Ventures became rich and moved to New York.
