Is it not possible for them to address the load during these sales over this many years?

Managed to get local co-op patches for all of my titles out in advance of this somehow. Crazy last few weeks. Now to go buy some VR games woo!

  • Look out for hidden indie gems. The big AAA titles might have great discounts, but you can probably pick up a lot of really quite excellent indie titles for the same cost as one recent AAA game. I'll link a hidden gems thread if/when one is made.

Love this advise, tried two or three indie games and I've enjoyed them a lot! As I'm new this, is there any website with a curated list by genre or something? Ideally, like a metacritics for indie so you can get a quick idea of which games one should start look at first.

HOLY CRAP all 39 titles on my wishlist are on sale. Is this normal?

Oh except The Typing of The Dead: Overkill because Sega hates me.

As an indie dev, I appreciate people saying this. These sales keep a lot of us indies going.

Don't think I'm interested this time and not because "steam sales suck now" or something like that. I think I'm at the point where I've been through so many sales I already own the stuff I'd really want and the newer stuff I'd want just isn't deeply discounted enough yet for me to care. Honestly surprised it took this long.

Man, Falcom sales feel like they've been consistent forever.

Cold steel still not at double dipping price and sky SC still at $20. Maybe next time.

Do the discounts stack? It says save €5 on a purchase of €30, so if I spent €60 or €90 would I save €10 or €15? Or is it once-off?

If there's such a website it's not one I'm familiar with. I mostly get my indie recommendations through Twitter or YouTube, though the Steam discovery queue is improving a lot.

This YouTuber mentions some good ones in this video series, infrequently updated.

Which games should I get:

- Vamypr (I know it's on Game Pass)
- Terminator Restistance
- Remnant From Ashes
- Outward
- Greedfall
- God Eater 3
- Fallout 76 (I loved F4, all the haters are crazy)
- Tales of Berseria
- Subnautica

Genre-wise I like them all so that's not the issue

Has Disco Elysium ever gone under $30? Trying to decide if I should just grab it now or wait for a bigger price drop later since I'm not dying to play it immediately.

Beat Saber not on sale :(

But honestly, don't expect it to get a discount anytime soon. It's still very popular, and very worth it.

If you love Fallout 4, Fallout 76. I have 300 hours played and havent joined a group or PVPed. (at the big events you just join the area and participate with everyone else in the area)

Looking at getting Greedfall and Resi Evil 7. Don't get the points thing (only been PC gaming since March - new to steam) although I'll have a proper look this evening.
