My guess is Death Stranding: DC and announcement of a September PS event at the end of August lol.

That some here think all those threads were all about sony console's "not having enough indies" kinda just demonstrates how some weren't paying attention.
It's like Square Enix's E3 showcase.
Square: "We're focusing on the new game from Eidos Montreal with a few little surprises!"
Us: "FFXVI! FORSPOKEN! KINGDOM HEARTS! TWEWY!"
We need to get better at controlling ourselves - companies keep trying to control expectations and we keep not listening.

FFVIIR Intergrade was in the last state of play and didn't have any mention prior to it.
No Horizon Forbidden West or God Of War news is a bummer, but they didn't say anything about Final Fantasy. Since there will be third party games, either FF XVI or Forspoken have to be there, right?

Agreed, I'm excited for it but its gotten plenty of coverage. No need to devote a whole SoP to it.
That being said, I'm excited for the indie and 3rd party updates.
It's a DLC from a game that came out a year ago. Not a mainline final fantasy game. But again, I hope to be wrong.
Didn't Nomura say that KH would have announcements in 2022 for the series' 20th anniversary and that it was taking this year off?
I don't think this is the game that will make Arkane strike mainstream gold just yet.
I'm buying it day one because they're one of the best studios around, on the other hand, I feel like I've seen plenty of it already, but yeah, as mentioned this is probably due to the exclusivity stuff. Still, 9 minutes is... A lot. Well.
Really hope we'll see XVI. Gonna need one of those interior fellers to chime in and maybe set our expectations straight. Other than that, love me some surprises.

30 minutes long? Well this won't have anything substantial. Death Loop is bound to be at least 5-10 minutes by itself.

I do find it crazy that Square just showed nothing on FFXVI or Forspoken at their event, though. Especially if we actually have to wait until September for the big Sony showcase, then they really should have released at least a short trailer or something to keep us excited

In defence of those who are expecting more... We've had virtually nothing from Sony during the biggest time of the year for gaming announcements... It's hardly suprisring that people are expecting something more than stuff we've already seen played to... death. Just feels we're on a bit of a... loop.

FF VIIR was reintroduced in a SoP in 2019 and Sony also didn't let us know before the event.
I don't care what they show as long as we can get a confirmed release date/window/year for XVI. Hoping for a surprise Holiday 2021 release but anytime between now and Holiday 2022 would be hype.
I have a weird hunch if Deathloop was identical game and first party, so many people wouldn't be complaining. We got 10 minutes of R&C, sometimes the same footage at like 4 events last year and I didn't hear this much complaining. But because Deathloop is XGS it gets this treatment…. Sigh.
Considering Sony was just raked over the coals for lack of indie support, maybe we should stop expecting megatons every week you know? And actually support these indies who probably paid god knows how much just to be shown
It's definitely not a Sony E3-style show as the focus is on one game and indies and is only 30 mins long.
I don't care about Deathloop, I hope there's some cool stuff among the indies and 3rd party games.
I knew about Bugsnax and The Pathless because of Playstation. I bout them alongside my PS5, loved them and got both platinums. "fuck 'em" is hyperbole.
I'm excited to play Deathloop, but what more could possibly another deep dive reveal? We've seen gameplay aplenty, there were media previews, explanation videos... This is a little puzzling.
