Maybe that's the real reason they hate TLJ, the force projection doesn't really jive well with their world...
My suspicion is yes, given how Rian pointedly made Trump a part of the story in the first film. Also, just to add to that, Kate Hudson appears to be wearing one of those bullshit mesh masks in a fancy gold color, so I would not be surprised if she's playing a rich lady who either doesn't give a shit about how masks work or cares about looking good more than safety. There's a few other pics of her wearing a plastic face visor which would be for actual safety when not on camera.
That's just me guessing off of set photos, though.
