My back hurts, I don't know if this means I should go on or that I did something wrong with the way I moved though
This is where I'm at. I felt fine the whole time. The exercises weren't too strenuous, but today I picked up my kid and my back started killing me. It acts up now and then but it's been a while. I need more exercise...

So who woke up sore today from ring fit adventure? I played an hour and a half yesterday and I was sure my legs would be on fire today from all the squats and chair pose stuff, but I only slightly feel it. I dont feel any soreness from the arm stuff either.

What I didnt expect was my butt to be sore (ever since I lost a bunch of weight a few years ago I basically have no butt) so the knee lift stuff while it didnt give me trouble to do the action, it felt like I was sitting on my bones. Im defininitely going to need to get a mat for some kind of cusion for those kinds of exercises.
My left thigh is killing me.

Just finished my first workout and boss fight. That was great! I have skinny-ass legs so I focused on squats and chair poses, and by the end I was audibly grunting. The overhead presses killed my arms, too.

I'm set at difficult level 21, and I think that's where I'll leave it. I was out of breath and my muscles were shaky. That's what I want out of a ~30 minute routine.

This game is incredible. My only problem is the delay to skip text. It is jarring that I have to wait a second every time text pops up (starting from after I read the message to when the game will allow me to progress). I know that is super minor, but I still find it obnoxious.

True. It should have a fast progress option that would skip most of these explanations and screens like when the game tells you to do abs guard.

Incredibly pleased with the game so far. Started out at difficulty level 22 and felt wiped after the first world yesterday because of the massive amount of squats you have to do. Played another 30 minutes today and the game adjusted me to level 18 after I said it felt a little too intense. Once you reach the third world and start leveling up enough to change up the exercises you have available, the game feels much more manageable while still being a good work out routine.

The game is up for $72.63 on the website Deep discount. Shipping is free, but the catch is it won't be delivered until Tuesday, October 29th (at least for me).

However, if you use Google Shopping and it's your first time using Google Shopping, you can use the promo code SHOPNEW19 for another 20% off.

Was able to get it for about $63 (including tax).

For people that are finding themselves sore today, I recommend getting a 3ft high-density foam roller and a lacrosse ball to work on those sore muscles. After a couple of minutes work with them, you'll be feeling much better.
It's interesting to see how this is hitting everyone differently. My calves are killing me today - especially after the second area with lots of knee lifts through mud and sprinting up treadmills. I can do squats for days, but the chair pose has been the most difficult of the basic exercises for me by far.

Did my first workout. I'm okay with training, but my stamina is pretty low. I used to play DDR all the time in high school, but now I don't quite have it anymore. Hope I can go from doing a 20 minute workout to 40 minutes or more. It just feels rough starting and struggling, but not being able to push as long as needed to get more burn or distance.

I am really thinking about getting this.

I looked up a chart to see how much calories you burn in 30 minutes and I found this so you can compare to your fitness session with Ring Fit.

I played through to level 4, just after the Drageaux fight. I am impressed. It works shockingly well and may be one of my favorites if not my favorite game this year. I always appreciate movement in games and this one is really thoughtful and well designed. Playing at difficulty 19 currently. It's a decent challenge. I'd like "random" to always be the default selection in battle, is there an option for that?

Compared to WiiFit or other exercise-focused movement games this is in another league. Haven't worked up this much of a sweat playing video games since expert mode DDR. And Ring Fit has the advantage of exercising muscle groups, not being exclusively cardio. It's really impressive.

My only major complaint is the Switch hardware itself. The right joycon has de-synced when raising the ring above my head several times in only an hour. I can see this becoming very frustrating over the lifespan of the game. I'm standing 4-6 feet from the Switch. I don't understand how the joycon are so terrible.

I also have experienced the right joycon losing sync during normal gaming sessions. It would be annoying if it started doing that with this.

Something is wrong with your joycon.

I vouch for those with sore muscles to get a rumble roller, used the blue one and upgraded to the black one and have been using it for a year and a half. It works really well with relaxing my muscles in my calves and working out the kinks in my back. Wonderful to use after work, I use it in conjunction with Ring Fit to give myself a warm up and tension release on my muscles before jumping in. Helps me with not straining my muscles too much while doing the work outs.

I'd recommend the gator roller, I haven't tried it myself yet, but it might be the least intimidating roller compared to the blue or black rumble roller. I love them though.

It's weird how I rolled my eyes and called this shit stupid when I first saw the reveal...yet here I am, Ring-Con in hand, about to start the game up for the first time. Lmfao. Nintendo, how do you do it? To be quite honest, this is exactly what I have been looking for at the moment because I hate going to the gym and I just started a Soylent-only diet (for 30 days).

At 32 and as an IT Systems Engineer, I lead a fairly sedentary lifestyle apart from playing DDR/PIU on weekends or riding my Sixthreezero bicycle I just bought every other day. Bike riding has always been one of my favorite things to do growing up so it's been a dream to get a bike again after so many years.

Anyway, RingFit Adventure looks fun and impressive for what it offers and I figured now that I'm getting older and feeling the age thing kick in (ow...my knees....my back...wtf?!), I should jump on board with one of Nintendo's more physically active offerings.

I have been wanting to get back into exercising and this has been incredible so far. An actual workout compared to previous "fit" games...

I really want to try it, but can't justify it when it's like $80. I'll definitely grab it sometime when it's on sale because it seems really cool!

Really tempted to bite on this, but a couple questions:

1. How well is the game set up for long-term play? My concern to some extent is that I'd finish the "campaign" and lose a lot of motivation after that.
2. Are there options to adjust the intensity/frequency of specific exercises? I'm dealing with some neck/shoulder/upper back pain I'm currently in PT for and I don't want to get blocked if this game winds up requiring exercises that would over-strain me there. I also have some knee issues I need to be careful with.

Your body is worth more than 80$

That's a black and white assumption that you a) do not exercise without it, and b) you will exercise forever with it. Under that assumption, sure, the game would be worth 70€; hell, it would be easily worth the price of the Switch itsself and more. But being realistic, if this game is the difference between currently exercising and not exercising, then once it stops holding you attention, what then?

YAS!

Top 10 in all my 1981 categories so far.

Also kudos to all of you other 141 people of my age for playing the game. We are old!

I love this.

Just finished a 44 min session. The most I've done so far. Bumped up the difficulty +1 so i'm at 18 now.

Level 21. Unlocked Planks. Ugh, with 18 difficulty, they make you do 15 of them. Don't like planks but the enemy has to die so lets do it! Haha

I like the option to see where you rank with everyone in your age group. Shoutout to 1984!

Can't recommend this enough. Easily goes in my top 5 games this year.

Can this be played using Switch on Tabletop Mode? I'm sure it *technically* works, but is it an enjoyable experience? Wii Fit was a lot better on TV than on the GamePad.

It's pretty annoying how the Nintendo account I made when I was middle school/high school to avoid age restrictions is actually coming back to bite me here. I set it to my real age in-game, but it still uses my account birthday that I set to the 1980s or something for the leaderboards, which makes that aspect of the game pretty much useless to me. I probably could change it via Nintendo support, but I really don't wanna mess up my current stats (and I really don't want to deal with support over one game).

Intensity Level 20 seems to to be perfect for me with a daily 30-40 minute session. I'm amazed at how well this game works.
