Good lord, the music. I am so happy right now. So so happy
The Japanese trailer has a battle in action. It doesn't look to be consumer based (no number or resource)
It doesn't have to (only to a vocal minority it's probably a dealbreaker) but what is the benefit to not showing all three clearly? That's it...the question of combat will be cleared up soon, just questioning the strategy of the initial reveal.Honest question: why does combat have to be more important than puzzles or platformer phases?
Y is Ouen or help/assistance, etc. Probably a party member ability/action.
So. I guess the B button is for beginning your turn with Mario. What about the Y and X buttons tho.
I can't speak on Death Stranding reveals myself, but from an outsider it seemed like the type of game that thrives on the mystery of it all. Not a situation I would compare with an established series like Paper Mario. What is the benefit to leaving the combat a mystery on the initial reveal?
There were things to be excited about from this trailer (environments, design) but was it was too much to ask to dedicate ~20 sec to a clear shot of combat to put the discourse to rest from the start?
Isn't Mario HP increasing in some screenshots an indication that there's some sort of leveling up system?
So Metroid Prime 4 was actually hidden on this Paper Mario game.
Arlo is probably going to complaint that is "Not my Paper Mario!" or that is not TTYD remaster he solicited.
Surely you meant to say they hadn't *announced* anything after CH GamesBut Nintendo isn't releasing anything after Club House games!!!!!
As someone who never played the franchise and would like to get into it. Is this one an RPG like the classic ones or not?
This, I hate that so fucking much. Idk why they have been so bad at doing this with the new paper Mario's. It goes such a long way.I wish the partners were more distinctly designed rather than simply being examples of their enemy types.
Yes.
This strategy is working great for them. Outside of announcing some tentpole games a couple years in advance, I'd expect this style of marketing for the majority of their software moving forward. Nintendo doesn't partake in the needless hype cycle the rest of the industry engages in. They market their products in their own way and it's paying off.I'm happy about the announcement and a new Paper Mario but this could have been announced easily earlier this year instead of keeping this unnecessary silence until now. Probably other games, in advanced development stages, are in the same situation and can be announced anytime, as well, but Nintendo keeps sitting on them until a few months before the release.
Hey, I'm not asking for Nintendo to act like Sony and announce something far away, a well-known excuse from fanboys, but Nintendo's strategy to announce their games only a few months away of release is totally unnecessary. Their marketing division needs to take a rant at the next general meeting of shareholders and executives.
I too think you'll recruit classic Bowser army enemies as partners.I think partners will come and go when you finish a chapter.
Also, the fact that partners are stock enemies makes it more charming to me
Nope, this looks really generic and boring to me as well. I'm surprised it's getting such a warm response when I can't find a single thing in this trailer that looks like a step up from PM1/TTYD.
