Ending of game question, spoilers obviously!

So is there no negative to starting a new universe now? I read you can teleport to Euclid bases and still explore Euclid after creating a new universe? Originally I wasn't going to create one because I do not want to lose access to exploring Euclid.

Welp, I knew it was bound to happen eventually, but they released an update with an awful feature that can't be disabled and it's impacting my immersion a lot:

These chat messages that pop up on my screen from.... Myself.....? I'm playing solo with all network features disabled. Why would I want random chat messages popping up when I have new things in my Log?

What purpose does this serve? Plus we can't disable it.

yeah,i noticed that last night and it was annoying.

finally got my hauler last night and then something very unexpected happened in the anomaly.i had spent hours farming ancient bones to get to 100 mil to buy my hauler then i thought i'd go into the anomaly to cash in the scans,after i went up to see if i wanted to unlock any blueprint and while i was looking i was told a random person had dumped some things into my inventory,twice.

i look in my inventory very confused and it turns out they had dumped 10 fusion ignitors in there,i look at the price and it turns out i spent 102 mil on my ship and minutes later someone randomly gifts me 165 mil ????????

i didn't check the name in time but thank you random stranger.here's a pic of my hauler which luckily has the same paint scheme as my spacesuit:

Put together a new mod guide. Basically had to start from scratch because of the switch to Vulkan nuking most of the NEXT mods. Just waiting on a few to update.

You get to the point that you cannot actually have more money (32-bit credits limit is still in, right?), so max 4bn. After that, giving away resources is one way to have some fun. I stopped bothering earning more money when I went past 1bn and shut down my farm and such.

after 50 hours im still a n00b. but i found a system that has two planets FILLED with ancient bones and valuable scrap. so awesome..

but hey, what happened to my old ship and its items now that i bought a new one? i chose "buy and add to collection", soo... surely i didnt lose my old ship+items..?

no you still have the items,i did the same thing last night,bought a new ship ans forgot to transfer over my supplies so i landed the ship on a planet got out and called down my old ship(this will make the old ship your currently used),took out the items into my suit inventory and got back into my new ship (transferring that back into my currently used ship) and put the inventory into it.

don't know what system your playing on but on ps4 it is press down on the d-pad ans scroll to ships and select the old one there.

I jumped into some PSVR on the Pro last night thinking I'd just play it for a minute, and ended up playing for an hour and a half. XD

The visual fidelity is definitely improved from before. It's a lot sharper than before, and the draw distance is better. It's still blurry at far distances, but less so. My home planet is gorgeous, but it looks the best at night in VR, where I can see the ring around the planet against the sky and it's a striking visual. The cockpit of my ship is also much better resolution and I can read the display so much better now. In general, performance seems a lot better than I remember VR. I held off jumping back into it until the patch, and I'm glad I did.

I'm not sure how to upload discoveries in VR, though! When I try, it asks me to rename the subjects, but I don't want to. I just want to upload them.

I still prefer playing in flat mode, because it looks the best, but the VR is so, so good. I might play some more in VR tonight when I get home from work.

Well after 60 hours I think I'm home . Nearest to the center paradise planet I could find. Set up a small copper mine and 1000u from a trading post . Will try to set up a haven for weary travellers heading to their doom lol .

Have an activated indium mine on a hellish cold planet too but I find doesn't matter built a huge warehouse over my whole operation and keeps damn sentinels out too.

Anyone had issues with freighter upgrades? Last night I put the blueprint in but there was a part that wouldn't repair even though the components showed 2/2 it was just stuck on a non repaired state. Hopefully a one off.
Also the freighter upgrades are blueprints no? So I should be able to rebuild the upgrades if switch freighter ?

So it seems with the most recent few experimental patches Steam Controller is now fixed? Anyone using it able to comment on whether we can play the game with it now? Does it still jitter with mouse look bound to trackpad?

I have tested all the mods entensively together with BEYOND 2.12 (except for base building which I've barely paid attention to since the update) and I am crash free. There is no guarantee they will work perfectly for everyone. Always check the mod descriptions and discussions to make sure they are compatible with your current game version and with each other, especially after a new patch has been released if you experience issues. FPS impact should be minimal with most mods on a decent PC unless otherwise stated. On another note I also learned you can delete whole sections out of your freighter and fall out of it ..... :(

My favorite mods:

AtmoHover - Hover and faster space travel is something HG should have put in the game long ago. Even 2x makes the game less boring.
Dud's Sky Colors - The vanilla game has a limited color palette so this allows for more alien looking planets.
Increased Draw Distance & LOD (More Grass) and Grass Fix mod - these 2 as a combo can sometimes tank the fps but it's worth it for the better draw distance and all the lovely grass that doesn't pop-in a few feet away.

Trying to build an activated indium mine. Found a B class deposit and a A class energy spot only 850u away. But when I put the base computer between them I can't build on my energy spot. Is the base build radius still 750u or did they lower it? Also, is the B class deposit too low and should I wait until I find an A or S class?

According to this, it's 300u from the base computer. The deposit class isn't too important, you just need to build more mineral extractors to match A or S class.

its 300u but you can extend by building stuff at the edge of the perimeter.

woop! Back from holiday and just had some time to do some AFK Activated Indium farming while I sorted laundry and stuff. Been itching to get back in, though I will admit that Greedfall has caught my eye.

I was gonna dive back into an S class Multi-tool or Hauler search, but after seeing your cute ship EasyMode I may get distracted searching for one of those instead, or failing that a starter ship replica at S class.

Trade in some navigation data for a planetary map from the cartographer in the station and hover over it to check if its a "secure site" or similar which should include Depots. If not try another cartographer on another station.

There's no risk really to the amount of extractors because the field is huge. I have a few extractors where I thought the centre of my A class field was but realized the center was like 50u or more away. Those extractors still mine at 296/ 300 so in that distance you could fit hundreds . Also I guess you gotta do the math but Id rather have an A class or S class mining deposit and just run solar . For 30k activated indium every 1.5 hours I only need 33 or so solar panels with the noirmal half batteries 19 or so. Although with enough extractors the mining deposit strength won't matter either.

I have a few extractors where I thought the centre of my A class field was but realized the center was like 50u or more away. Those extractors still mine at 296/ 300 so in that distance you could fit hundreds . Also I guess you gotta do the math but Id rather have an A class or S class mining deposit and just run solar . For 30k activated indium every 1.5 hours I only need 33 or so solar panels with the noirmal half batteries 19 or so. Although with enough extractors the mining deposit strength won't matter either.

i've bought the boots but can't put them on,is that because i don't own all the bits yet and once everything is unlocked it can be worn?

The terrain modification limitation does not clear when deleting bases that have modified the terrain, so I'm basically stuck with no way to modify the terrain in a new base.
