Back with another question about selling - for you or anyone - I've listed it on Marketplace locally. Does shipping it through Marketplace open me up to the same fraud as selling on eBay? I don't what Facebook's policies are if someone tries to file a claim that they "didn't receive it"

My switch that I pre-ordered from Target is currently in Illinois and I live in Jersey. I guess October 13th for delivery is accurate

Not sure how true this is, but was just talking to the person at Best Buy and he said they had delayed shipments all over. They were just scanning Switches for pick up orders as I was walking out the door. Mine still isn't ready and they wouldn't find mine for me said it may take until tomorrow.

Don't do it in this order. I am the only user on my Switch and that screwed me over. I did that and I ended up having to re-link my Nintendo account to the blank/guest user on my original Switch in order to run the Island Transfer.

Make sure you have ACNH on both consoles running the latest version, download the Island Transfer tool on both consoles, run the Island Transfer, then do your User transfer afterwards.

I pre-ordered in July for pick-up. Was 2nd one in store and they said "oh your order is not ready, they have to build it." It was just the switch. Meanwhile 3 people w/no pre-orders walked in and were getting white OLEDs. They said if I wanted it now, I had to cancel my pre-order and buy it despite already being charged in the morning. I did that.

Update on my target order. Still in "Preparing to ship" status with an October 8th delivery…. But I can't cancel the order now :P. That has to mean something right… I literally live like 30 minutes from the distribution center here in California.

Sorry for replying 11.5 hours later. LOL.

There were a bunch of people but most were there for Pokemon cards! Go figure. Six or seven showed up for a Switch buuuut they did indeed only have one unit available. Thankfully, the store associate let everybody else know that as soon as he showed up.

Been waiting for my pre-order from Best Buy but I have no idea what's going on... Went to the store, contacted their support chat, and called them, and still don't have any definite answers. My order still says "Ready for pick up Today" but Best Buy can't seem to tell me if that is actually going to be true or not... I've never had this happen with a pre-order from Best Buy before. I'm so disappointed that I haven't even been able to start playing Metroid Dread. =/

I was in the same boat and I literally just got the email saying it was ready for pickup. Don't lose hope!

So I thought it was bullshit at first, but the screen makes a big difference.

Between this and my Steam Deck next year, I'm wet with my commute for the foreseeable future.

Was never able to get a preorder, but I got a 9AM reservation for the Nintendo NYC store. Was on my way to work with a white OLED in tow by 9:45.

Amazon just dropped off on my doorstep but I'm at my kids piano lesson for the next 15 minutes. As far as having Animal Crossing on both consoles before the user transfer, how do you download the game on the new Switch OLED if you don't transfer the user? Do you just sign into the new Switch as a new user but login with your existing account?

After waiting all day with Best Buy saying they're preparing for pickup today, just got an email saying the order is delayed. The order status online says they're trying to get the item in the next few days. What an absolute mess. Who knows if/when I'm getting this thing.

I just ordered from Best Buy Canada like an hour ago (I cracked with the good reviews) and it's already in preparing to ship status with an estimated date of Oct. 13.

My Metroid is behind too so I can wait a few days. Looking forward to it!

I don't know whether I feel better knowing I'm not the only person who is not seeing any change in status for my July Walmart preorder, or if I should be worried it's about to cancel itself since no one has gotten it yet.

was able to walk into target (bay area Colma, CA) at 810a without a fret,. They had reservation system in the front and had maybe 50ish white oleds

The Switch transfer doesn't move software. If you have ACNH digitally, you need to re-download it on the new console. The key is having the same Nintendo account linked to a user on both consoles.

For some reason Best Buy is having a hard time getting my white oled carrying case ready. Prob should have just bought it at GameStop when I picked up the system.

i wonder if it's a coincidence this is happening after they announced their subscription plan.

FYI there was also a notice sent to BB that some stores may have received the wrong color Switches based on orders. This may be part of the delay. The other thing may be that stuff is just held up by FedEx and UPS.

So the whole transfer thing is just user and save data, right? Just making sure I didn't miss something. Redownloading software now and realized that data does not include screenshots.

Also, you can just drop your old MicroSD card in it seems, you've got to transfer the data on a PC, format, and paste it back on then insert into the new Switch? Either I'm missing something or it's a bit clunky.

New Switch is pretty though.

animal crossing has a special transfer thing, otherwise yeah

Finally! After getting my Best Buy order status marked as delayed, I just got an email saying it's ready for pickup. So I can swing by tomorrow and get it. Guess they finally got the systems in.

Meanwhile my Target order from when Target.com left the pre-order page up for hours will be here on Tuesday.

I don't think you have to copy anything onto a pc. Move your photos to the SD card on the old Switch, transfer the SD card to the new and all your photos should be on the new Switch.

(I saved all my photos to the computer using a usb-c to usb cable just in case. but it wasn't necessary.)

Ugh. My screen has really bad dithering/green type look when at 50 percent brightness or lower. Above it, it goes away, lowering it, once it hits 50 percent you can clearly see a green tint/weird dither in dark areas. It's always something

EDIT- just to be clear this is in darker games. Such as Metroid dread or hollow knight. Very noticeable. Not really noticeable on bright very colorful games. My screen does also seem to have bad grey uniformity, noticed on the Home Screen with the dark theme
