So it seems West of Loathing's "Reckonin' at Gun Manor" DLC is available now.

the game is currently 5,40€ in Europe (lowest ever). I dropped it too soon despite enjoying what I played, I just don't remember what other game grabbed my interest. Whatever, I don't know if it's free or not
Thanks for the heads up for the DLC, was not aware it even existed.

Just a heads up to you two, and anyone else considering the game, this is regarding atrocious things about the creators of West of Loathing involving domestic abuse:

www.gamesindustry.biz

Games professor accuses Kingdom of Loathing designer of abuse

UC Santa Cruz assistant professor of games and playable media A.M. Darke has accused her ex-husband Zack 'Jick' Johnson…

Not gonna judge anyone buying it regardless, but there are folks in here who view purchasing games by troubled individuals as a no no, so this is just a PSA, I guess.

Ember (a PC and iOS game) just released on Switch with 25% off (from $19.99 to $14.99). It's a pretty decent Baldurs Gate style game (combat is real time with pause). It's a lite version of those classic RPGs, with more streamlined systems and a shorter adventure (around 20 hours). Perfect if you want an isometric RPG of that style but don't want to commit with the length and depth of those games, or maybe if you find them too intimidating and want to ease into the genre with something more acessible.

Here's a review from our fellow member karak (ACG):

Hmm, I've heard good things about this game back when I used to dwell in the Steam OT... As someone who tried to get into Baldur's Gate a few times but found it a bit complex, this looks very interesting to me.

Thanks for the heads up, I like to know about this stuff. As long as we're not judging or antagonizing people who buy these games, it's perfectly fine to bring it up, so don't worry.

Haha yea sorry, not to mean anything or even to suggest that people can't buy it or talk about it. Honestly I am really interested in trying it out too.

well, this _is_ "chatting about games". it's important stuff to know. long as it doesn't sidetrack into a discussion about personal beliefs that derails the entire thread, this absolutely has a place to be brought up here (just without leading into a long discussion afterwards as there are other threads to delve into that deeper).

I was about to buy this too and this info now is making me reconsider... :/

I bought Sundred yesterday. I don't know why... I hope the random elements are not too present.

I'm still playing it, and enjoying it.

Even though I'm playing it on the easiest difficulty, it can still be tough at times! Don't think I'd enjoy the game as much playing it on a higher difficulty and dying more regularly, especially as the game doesn't have a fast travel system in place.

Ok thanks for the heads up. I'm currently making my way though Cuphead, so I may take it easy for my next game.

I'm totally fine with it being issued, mind.

Probably I'd find me in the same situation as yours if I didn't own the game already.

But honestly I didn't read through the entire story because it's painfully lenghty. And frankly I'm not sure if this is all certain. Did a trial happen? Are the accusations 100% true? 90%? 80%?

This is what I mean when I say that I prefer "chatting about games", but yeah, no problem for stuff like this being pointed out.

I can't see this DLC on the uk shop. Have you managed to find it?
absolutely loved this game when I played through it at launch. More would be very welcome if the pricing is appropriate for the amount of content.

I bought Butcher for £2.69. Really fun game, I love the style and the meaty combat. My only issue is casual difficulty is a bit too easy and the next level up, hard, is a bit too hard for me.

RE: CALL OF JUAREZ's gyro aiming not working on Switch Lite models

possibly worth tweeting at Rebellion over?
I think you'd be the one most qualified to write them, since they might have follow up questions (?)

"If you're experiencing problems with any of our games, or have a technical or billing query, just use the form below and we'll aim to get back to you within 24 working hours."
Done.

I also mentioned if they could please implement a much needed gyro aiming/camera reset button (I hate when games don't support that, especially ones with gyro controlled camera/aim, Call of Juarez also doesn't have it) and fix the analog transition from walking to running because right now it's problematic to say the least, walking around is a constant fight with the stick because running kicks in way too early, it should have you push the stick further before changing speed.
This, coupled with camera's acceleration, makes the mc much clunkier to play, it'd
feel a whole lot better if Rebellion implemented these little fixes.

Update: it's been almost a week but I got no reply from support. Let's see if V_Ben can help us out

It should be available in the US as we speak, priced 4,99$. Maybe in a few minutes for us?

I just read the news on GoNintendo, or NE, yesterday.

Is this a thread where I can talk about games everyone's already played ages ago but I've only just played for the first time?

I picked up Celeste as it was cheap - oh my god this game is great. I love that it tells you from the start that strawberries are just for funsies because it takes so much of the pressure off and I can just enjoy the pixel art, the adorable character portraits and the fun story. Don't get me wrong, I still find myself going out of my way to try and grab a few but I know I won't be missing anything if I don't get them. I'm (mostly) through the hotel chapter at the moment and really enjoying it all. I know this is going to get a lot harder but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. Great little game!

Weird. I have the game and the demo option is there. I checked.

I've tried on two different computers and used three different browsers and still can't see it.
This is what I see, usually if there is a demo option it is shown above the Proceed to purchase box.

How come To The Moon is not available for purchase anymore in EU? Ratings issue as always? I doubt the discount will still be active when the game comes back
as discussed here earlier, there's some nasty bug they're fixing with a patch in submission already. it'll be back soon.

I've got the Kickstarter link for 198X, followed the EU link, but no email with code so far..
typical bad prep/comms with the platform holder during KS game releases ...sigh.

Can anyone speak to the CURRENT quality of Swery65's games on Switch? That would be Deadly Premonition and The Missing: J.J. Macfield. I know they both launched in pretty buggy states and with serious framerate issues but I've heard they've both been patched.

It's pretty annoying the way you unlock the origins levels in Rayman Legends. I'm glad they're there at all but wish they were all available from the start or all unlocked at once after beating Legends instead of the dumb Lucky Tickets.
