No one here is defending Ng? You need to realize that both sides of a situation can be bad. Ng sucks here, Chen sucks for being Falun Gong, CCP sucks for both oppressing Falun Gong and other atrocities, and Falun Gong sucks for propagating far propaganda and being homophobic. Opposing sides of a situation can all suck at the same time.

Chen shouldnt have ever talked about Falun Gong at all in his videos. He's inviting people to look in to a cult that could ensnare his more unsuspecting viewers.
Here's one fun fact about the Falun Gong. They're super anti-CCP not because of human rights issues or anything like that, but because they're super against the idea of races mixing in any way, even ideologically. Communism was conceived by a bunch of white guys, so their concern with the CCP is the race mixing!

There's a huge gap between bending over to be an apologist for an evil regime and provoking the CCP. Ng went full on apologist, IMO. I think it's fair game to call out people who prop up and support the CCP as Ng, Blizzard, the NBA, and the Mulan actress have done in recent months. With that said, I agree that it's easy to expect people to take a brave stand when in reality doing so is quite dangerous to them or their families.

I think it's fair, I just would like people to keep in mind the risk profile is very different depending on if you're an expat, a Chinese film star, a Chinese businessman, or a US corporation.
Blizzard largely said the HK stuff to protect their business. An individual comedian like Ng, well, it's a different story, without going too deep into checking out his actual family connections.
I'm glad people are learning about the Falun-Trump connection here though, I always felt it was underreported.

Having said that I like Chen videos, but i avoid it's vlog channels, for now he kept that stuff out of it's main channel.
For the video in question, it was quite meh.
Clearly the dumpling guy was not very good at making them but i felt no one involved put much effort in it.

I'm glad that people finally see through Falun Gong and it's awfulness. Merely years ago (before Trump's presidential term) it seemed like most people in American believed Falun Gong to be "harmless religious group" or something like that. I feel it's different when you have "skin in the game" as it were. I heard it blew up there (East Asia, SEA) but I did not pay much attention to it.
This is my mom. Shes latina and has been getting sent Covid videos over whatsapp from notable latino Q members. I went off on her for sharing that video in our family group chat, now she always sends it to me first to find out if its real or fake.
This hurts a little because I did like the Uncle Roger character going in on that moron Jamie Oliver, however that joke went on for far too long. It also pissed me off how he kept doing videos outdoors with no mask on during a damn pandemic.
If he has family in China, I can understand and I also can believe that he may not have the finances to bring everyone into the UK or send them to Malaysia. However, having clout alone screws with a lot of minds when you openly support bullshit CCP rhetoric. Just stay quiet about it in that case.
