Yeah.. not believing till I see it with my own eyes.
And of course it will be a cross gen title.
And of course it will be a cross gen title.
Square are the only Japanese 3rd party dumb enough to quit the Ps4 and Xbox one so soon
everyone else will be cross gen for at least another couple of years
Ha
I mean isn't he right most of the time?
I'm sorry, I regret my words and deeds. Elden Ring is indeed very popular.
More like 2011/2012 hardware. This needs a next-gen version at launch.A From Software open world game hampered by 2013 hardware. What could go wrong?
Yeah he has a solid track record.
Yeah, From's games are very popular among the hardcore fans, but they aren't really popular among the more "mainstream" casual fans. Nobody knows about it around me, either.Let's say it's a well populated niche.
Nobody knows about it around me.
It's not crazy.I mean Elden Ring has been in development now for many years right? Is it crazy to assume this is coming this year or even fairly soon?
Please come this year I need it.
What's that?
Sadly so trueSquare are the only Japanese 3rd party dumb enough to quit the Ps4 and Xbox one so soon
everyone else will be cross gen for at least another couple of years
From games are always hyped but is the most hype for any From game? lol
I think that "Project Beast" leak for BB was a crazy moment, people went nuts for that and it seemed like it put the entire community under a spell lol. From games are always hyped but is the most hype for any From game? lol
Would be a huge mistake if it didn't launch with a next-gen version.Elden Ring will be cross generation game and I expect next-gen version will be out after release.
ELDEN RING
*/ The Golden Order has been broken. Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between. In the Lands Between ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree, has been shattered...en.bandainamcoent.eu
Hopefully releases in 2021.
Would be a huge mistake if it didn't launch with a next-gen version.
No not enough for at this point him just sounding like he is making educated guesses. I'm surprised these topics are still able to be posted.
It's From Software and GRRM. It's gonna print money. I personally couldn't care less about either, but it's gonna be wildly successful.
Sounds like Covid really messed From's schedule up, so probably no choice if so, a BC with benefits would be nice at least, it's made all their other games besides Bloodborne (😭 ) 60FPS.Would be a huge mistake if it didn't launch with a next-gen version.
When it comes to past news related to Elden Ring. No. But he has to be right eventually if he keeps posting rumours.
MS is more interested in getting stuff on Game Pass than exclusivity these days. In fact there's been a theme where games they've had marketing rights for (eg DMC5, Metro Exodus, SotTR, Dirt 5 etc) have shown up on Game Pass within 6 months of release.
Thanks a lot for sharing this! Sounds really good if true.So.. according to people I know who have contacts with Bamco the game was supposed to come out earlier with a next gen version planned a few months later, but when development had to slow down because covid they decided to launch current and next gen versions simultaneously.
Things might have changed again of course
lol. It's a game from FROM. Millions are hyped for it and that will never change.
Do you happen to know a time window for the release? That was a few months ago though. Current gen release was delayed internally and would be much closer to the expected launch date for the next gen version (which development was not as severely impacted by the pandemic), at which point From decided to wait until then and release both versions simultaneously.
I don't have reasons to doubt the guy, and he does have connections in Bamco but this was a few months ago (like 3 or 4?) and things change rapidly in this scenario, but from the little I know that still appears to be the plan.
