The only real problem I had with this game was how they made the party members' field powers clunky as hell by forcing Capell to like stand next to them or some shit. Im probably misremembering but that part was weird.

Otherwise I really liked it.


Also gimme enchanted Arms and Magna Carta 2.

The 360 jrpg list is short enough that we oughta get all of em eventually.

The game was good overall (I enjoyed it at least). Hearing that it was sort of a trial run for Star Ocean 4 gave me hope.

tri-Ace has gone on a tear updating their old games (first SO4, then RoF).

So it's possible Microsoft was amenable to publishing a remaster (Square got on board for Star Ocean, but Sega noped out of Resonance—though tri-Ace was allowed to publish it themselves in the end).

Or this could just be standard meaningless business operation.

The combat in SO4 blows any Tales of game out of the water.

And Resonance of Fate is a fan favorite for its atypical battle system.

How about Kingdom Hearts II.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Or Kingdom Hearts II.9 being inside KHIII? It's like the worst of both worlds, stupid nonsensical subtitles with Roman and Arabic numbers mixed in. By all metrics these are objectively worse than FFXIII-2. At least that one mercifully spares is a stupid subtitle.

I'm with you, bought it and enjoyed it. Never finished it though and I don't remember why.

If I could only have 1 resurrected JRPG, it would be Lost Odyssey followed up with Blue Dragon.

I enjoyed this game as well despite its flaws (VA ranging from good to terrible, Symphonic Blade being useless outside a few encounters, etc.) Very few games show your full party working together and running around so that was cool. But it's one of those games you need a guide to play it with or else you'll miss a ton of stuff.
