I saw it on the original product page. It didn't mention it during the order process. Maybe we'll get lucky?
Wish Walmart was instore only like target was - was it confirmed only online shipping, no in store pick up like target?
Chances these Walmart orders today have an in store pickup option? That said, I full expect not to be able to get one regardless.

Also, for whatever reason there's a huge delay for me on my phone compared to getting the same notifications on PC. I don't know why, but they are practically instant on desktop, but up to a minute delay on my phone.
Bought mine around 2 AM and it is saying "preparing to ship." PS Direct.
PS Direct site updated the console page to say this:
" Check back on 11/12 for more availability. "

That's been there since this morning 1AM or so when they 2nd or 3rd wave of PS Direct stuff sold out.

I could have sworn I saw someone say they shipped the X faster then it said from costco. Who knows I am just happy to have one this month without having to play Russian roulette with Walmart / Target / Best Buy.
This is promising. Thanks! I regret not reserving a preorder slot when it was first announced,as I was assuming we're gonna get it a week later after the US. But no, we'll be late a month with no preorders still.
For sure. I resisted posting anything about that, but was thinking "first-world problems are harsh". Meanwhile you have multiple people that have failed to even keep what was in their cart (more than once too sometimes). I have to wait a whole five days, and couldn't be more ecstatic. Worst case scenario for me now just means I'll have to wait to play with the EU launch. Oh no!
Thinking about it now, I think it was a brilliant idea for Sony to offer preorders to those with PSN accounts. Not sure if they considered the activities (number of games, trophies, etc.) but that's an effective way to deny scalpers for the most part.
I think tying to get the PS5 has literally been one of the worst buying experiences of my entire life.
I am really close to just not getting one even when they are available because this sucks. I know it's not directly Sony's fault, but seriously this is so lame.

Yes in every way and yes. This is the first I've "hunted" a product before and this is infuriating, not exhilarating. The very opposite of The Dark Souls of Shopping.

Yeah, it stuck on my CC info - saying I need to enter my CVV number - which I cannot enter hah. It also was already entered previous, this also happened at Target yesterday. annoying!
Agreed, Walmart has a big enough infrastructure to keep the site up, but the bots will out in full force I'm afraid.
Still gonna try though, hope springs eternal.

For the Sony direct website...can you ship to a different address? Do you need to have a CC set up in your account? Currently I only use PSN codes to purchase via psn store. Not sure of both are linked.

This 100%. I can't recall a time I've ever faced so many problems.
I've always lined up, hell I waited like 13+ hours for a Wii. I never minded doing that, was actually kind of fun, bunch of people playing DS games, etc. Kind of bummed we've been relegated to fighting bots.
This almost makes me wonder how I got the PS4 about 7 years ago considering I didnt preorder it lol.
PS4 was easy to get by comparison. I just rolled up to BB on launch day and got in line no problem and got one. Also preordering online was much easier.
Dude this is crazy. With the PS4 I just casually walked in mid day and bought one from best buy. This is next level. Either supply is less or demand is way higher.
