How Old Are You, GamingEra?

there's something nice about seeing a majority of results being in the 30s. i'm in my late 20s, and it's been tough finding time for games (work, social life, other hobbies, etc.). feels like it gets more difficult with each passing year.
Lumping 40-60 seems unbalanced there. Will the next poll have 30 year-olds being carted into a nursing home?

I think we can all agree that people over 30 shouldn't be gaming, duh

JRPG style - if you're over 25 you're destined to die before the end of the game.
It's why we post on forums rather than an insta or YouTube vlog =P ResetEra is about as millennial as it gets (I'm 32 myself).
I'll give you a little flip-side perspective on this.
At 50 I was able to get in on the ground floor of video games. You're likely not far behind.
When I look back, I think of the utter joy I had playing titles like Combat on Atari 2600. Games that look ridiculously crude by today's standards. But it still gave me pleasure to no end.
Today when I hear someone say, "That game looks like utter garbage!", I just think back to those 2600 days and laugh at the thought of modern titles looking like s**t.
We may not be around for the holo-decks of the future, but man is it nice to have some perspective on the roots of the medium. Makes you really appreciate what we have today.
31 now and I plan to game til I die. I do feel old occasionally when I am playing some online games though.

If 90% of the people on this site are over the age of 25, why do we still have so many platform war-related threads? Are they all from that 10%? There's no way anyone over the age of 25 would participate in such a thing, right?
