No just straight go to the store and buy the ps5 version for free and then start downloading. Its a big download though. 87 gb
I restarted and now its showing a little over an hour.
Go into your library. Use the menu button on the PS4 version to "show product" and it should have a $0.00 upgrade to the PS4/PS5 version.
Now to answer my question which mode to play in. I tried resolution first for the first 10 minutes then switched to performance mode and wow, not turning back. 60fps is way better IMO and the image quality is still great. Resolution mode looks way too sharp imo. Lot of shimmering textures.
39 hours left on my PS5 download lmao. Servers getting hammered like the Nintendo eShop on Christmas Day. The price I pay for trying to save $10.

Try restarting your console, my speeds shot up after doing that. Went from 8 hours to an hour.
EDIT; Nevermind,after I confirmed the $0.00 purchase,it gives a choice to download just the PS5...now I can go to sleep and play it in the morning ;P
Man, performance mode is terribly shimmery and 30fps camera seems laggy AF. It makes me nauseous. There is something wrong here.
Yeah I didn't last long in resolution mode, but holy hell did it look great. The shimmer is the worst part of performance, hope there will be an update.

Yeah.. lasted less than 2 mins at 30fps before I started feeling sick. People are crazy saying it's not a stutter fest at 30fps
Edit: They made the same mistake with the focus as they did in the first game. Camera panning while the focus bubble is up is painfully slow.

All the promo footage so far has been 30fps and looked totally normal. Is there suddenly something wrong with the framepacing on patch 1.04? Or do you guys just never play 30fps games?
So, I got my collector's edition early on Wednesday and none of the voucher codes worked, which I guess I can understand, although I wished they'd at least activate as a preorder so I could preload. Now it's after midnight and it's still saying that 2 of the 3 are inactive and I still can't download the game.
Yeah no way I can play like that. Maybe I'm just used to 60fps now, but that looked bad while moving the camera.
that's what I feared. Ill see for myself tomorow but yeah, all the "this one's different guys trust me i also only play 60fps but this is great at 30" comments were super sus to me
60fps mode looks bad, but there is no way in hell I can play this at 30fps without feeling nauseous.
Glad I'm not the only one. 30fps mode is brutal if you are sensitive to motion sickness.
Did anyone else here get the Special Edition? Just picked mine up, got home, and the code for the Nora Legacy Outfit doesn't work. Tried on the PS5 and the PS App. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.
