Watching Ponyo with my toddler now. This is super pretty. So far I'm enjoying it more than impressions had led me to believe I would when it came out.

Kiddo loves it, hasn't taken his eyes off the tv in like half an hour lol.

I was able to use my HBO Now credentials to sign in, cool. No extra effort or anything on my part.

This is so much better than HBO Now. Movies I actually want to watch, and way more serials.

I think I overestimated how amazingly deep their catalog would be. Theres come classics there but a whole lotta filler as well. If only this was $10, this would be a great secondary sub. I'll probably check it out again in a 6-12 months and hopefully theyll have bolstered their catalog some more.

Yeah, there is definitely some great movies in there..but a ton of random movies as well, I guess that is the thing with these services, you get a bit of everything. I'm happy so far with what I have seen though, lots of Disney titles surprisingly.

all of you guys complaining about the lack of CN collections and such: they are always going to be adding more content to the service. im sure stuff like ed Edd and eddy are on the way. they aren't going to drop everything day 1

It's up to Season 3 so you gotta wait a little longer for Season 4 which will roll out on Hulu and Max.

Full Studio Ghibli catalogue except for Grave of the Fireflies which is on Hulu. Only dubbed.
Nevermind it's listed seperately, you can choose between Japanese or English via the play button on the right of the list.

They specifically tweeted that Ed Edd and Eddy was going to be there at launch. So there's probably a few things that are supposed to be there that for whatever reason aren't showing up yet. I am sure there will be a decent amount of things popping up over the next few days. Plus beyond that they are going to be adding a lot of stuff for "June" on Monday.

The app not being on my SmartTV or Roku is a bummer, but I don't hate the UI on my phone, and I'm looking forward to diving into some Looney Tunes later.

I've tried the method mentioned on here for getting HBO Max if I have ATT Internet 1000 but it still didn't work. I'd call them right now but I have to go to work in a bit. But it looks like others have gotten it to work, I don't know why I haven't been able to.
What method is that? I have ATT internet 1000 as well.

When checking the app store on my iPad, it showed HBO Max already installed. When I opened it, it was instead opening HBO Now.

I had to delete HBO Now then download the HBO Max app, works correctly now. Didn't even have to sign in again.

Just tested out some Godzilla movies, the original Godzilla and Raids Again are both the regular Japanese Dub, but Invasion of the Astro Monster is English for some reason with no other option. That was the next one I was gonna watch on my Blu Ray set, so weird

A bunch of Disney's shows were all jacked up on launch.

Extremely disappointed to wake up and see that the HBO Now app on my Roku did not upgrade to Max.

I went online and did a quick search: apparently Amazon and Roku won't have Max at launch because of discussions with AT&T. Horrible choice to launch without those two platforms, they are losing out on roughly 40 million subscribers.

I also noticed that on my lunch an hour ago. It's a pretty big bummer as my biggest TV is a Roku and doesn't have a Chromecast. If Roku doesn't get it, I'll probably get another Chromecast.

I mean the palyer seems a lot more stable, but I only watched the first ten minutes of the cat returns. No hitching or stutter or resolution drops like I got with NOW every.single.time.

I thought Max was gonna be a marginal step up, but damn, their selection really blew me away.
Does anyone know if there's a way to see your List in a grid format? I added so many things, that the scroll caps out at about halfway. Using a PS4 for reference.
Disappointed most of the new stuff is only HBO's content, that's probably so they can get those articles about "What's coming to HBOMax this month."

But the classics are amazing, I hope they keep adding to them.

Doesn't Warners own the Batman movies at least though? It's weird that they'd be cycling out.
Like someone else said these contracts are written years out so they might have licensed it out for someone for a bit before they realized what they were doing with HBO. Disney still doesn't have all their own movies on their service. Some aren't coming till like 2022

Wtf? They literally advertised it as one of their series. How about Big Bang?
They did the same with Ed, Edd, and Eddie (tweeted as recently as yesterday) which is also currently missing. We'll see shortly if it's just an error and they are getting them up in the next couple of days or if they really aren't going to roll them out until later.

I also noticed that on my lunch an hour ago. It's a pretty big bummer as my biggest TV is a Roku and doesn't have a Chromecast. If Roku doesn't get it, I'll probably get another Chromecast.

And this is why I said Roku screwed up by not being there on Day 1. Roku's main selling point is supposed to be a device that plays all your streaming apps. People are going to want to use other devices if they really want to use HBO Max.

Likewise, Warners screwed up by missing out on a major chunk of users on Day 1 when people are focused on the service as a whole rather than individual content.

Both of these companies screwed up over pennies. You greedy idiots.
