I've never woken up with a cat butt close to me, but my cat sometimes sleeps on top of my chest with its face eerily close to my face... and it has foul breath.

Uh, I don't think they usually do this...? Mine likes to cuddle up with my beard when I'm lying down, but when I'm sleeping she'll usually just lie on top of my pillow and groom my hair. (Which, to be fair, is also pretty gross).

My cat alternates between shoving her butt in my face or pretends to sneeze on me.
Right now she's in a sneezing phase.
