Holy shit that next gen version can't come soon enough.
Not sure what you were reading/watching but pretty much every preview, interview and impressions said that this is an "RPG" not FPS.
Reading that this game is slower and more RPGlike is good to hear. I was really put off with this idea that it was more GTA than Deus EX.
Have they not talked about what game is going to be in this?

Based on what I've seen so far outlets are enormously positive about Night City, the storytelling and characters, the atmosphere and the role-play potential. Still positive about the combat and driving although it won't blow your minds. Jeuxvideo called out the stealth and A.I. for being lacklustre. And seems like all the builds still had their fair share of bugs,

It's an RPG - first and foremost.
Of course it will have a lot of action; but also a deep narrative and consequences/rewards derived from your choices/actions.

Looking at the final trailer and their twitter i think its safe to assume Dec 10th is now locked in. I cant see any further delay. The question is launch state and bugs.
We'll just use this one in solidarity with the trans members since it's trans awareness week.

I'm pretty sure this will run at "barely tolerable" levels on OG PS4/Xbox One hardware.
This strongly reminded me of something but I just don't know what, not even whether it was a game, a movie, or a show lol
Assassin's Creed Valhalla was like this. You could rush it but mine was like, 7 or 8 hours in.
Holy damn that gameplay trailer. The visual fidelity is incredible. And judging by the seond wave of postive previews just like the first time this game is going to get mid to high 90 in score overall. Im glad that the NPC are well written and you will get attched to them. All this game needs is a VR mode :0
Any previews mention how romance works? Is there a dedicated relationship system or is it a bunch of one night stands and quickies? Lol
People are afraid of the writing in this game, but so far previews are really praising it

Yeah but that was 2 snow covered regions with a half populated city and 2 places blocked off. I assume this will be way more involved.

Those preview comments (including the negative ones) make this game sound like s true sequel to the original Deus Ex. Which did not have great gunplay, but it had an interactive story and more atmosphere than most modern AAA games.

That might be too optimistic but this game has mid 90s (94-96) written all over it.
Not completely similar, but could be it. Maybe Law Abiding Citizen with the phonecall? :P
Maybe if they delay it for an extra year to fix all the bugs haha.

I haven't noticed any talk in new previews, but devs in past have said that you can have longterm romances and also one night stands. Romances take work and time for them to flourish.
I'm sure 1440P/60FPS at a mix of high and medium will be possible.
Last trailers were so GTA and some people going into this expecting fast-paced action are going to be bummed. :p

I bet I've played 8 to 10 now and have yet to see the title card.
My read is that combat is okay, but games lowpoint because everything else is such high quality.
